    This is very straightforward. Normally when looking up this subject, we get reams of abstract mathematics from people who don't know how to explain anything.

    I have a question:
    At 5:58 you have the function ([0.5, 8.5))*0.625 - 0.5
    which translates to (approx) -0.2 till 4.8, so why do you stop at 4.2 ? Isn't there one missing point?
