English Footballers try Korean Beef BBQ for the first time!!

- Today we took our newly built Korean BBQ table, with our special charcoal grill, and brought it to an English football team to taste the wonders of some of the best Korean BBQ possible right after their training.
This was a real collision of worlds for us, and it was such a joy seeing how much the guys loved the food, even though it was so different to anything they had tried before!

I HONESTLY feel that the KoreanEnglishMen team NEEDS to get like a recognition award by the Korean Embassy in the UK for all the work they've been doing in England to spread Korean culture. Like this is GENUINE passion and love for a culture that is not your own and wanting to spread that culture because you genuinely love it

as a korean australian who grew up with everyone else hating kimchi this was incredibly heartwarming 🥺
Same here and I’m not even Korean. I honestly didn’t like kimchi when I first tasted it but because there’s still many left I just can’t waste it so after a couple of days I give it another chance and I’m surprised that I kinda liked it and from that day I’m always craving kimchi. I think it just takes time to like it 🤷♀️
As a Korean American, I'm flummoxed by the attitude and I've run into it all my life. How does anyone hate kimchi?
I'm Romanian, grew up in Canada. Love kimchi. lol (Eastern Europe uses pickled cabbage to make pork cabbage rolls, so kimchi isnt really that foreign tasting, its just spicy)

If you ever find yourself in little old New Zealand one day, I’ll try and return the favour 😅 I’ve developed such a huge fascination and appreciation for South Korea so much this year, especially during quarantine. Beforehand, my knowledge of Korea was limited to just my practice in Taekwondo (so I know how to count in Korean). Your culture, history and strong sense of identity is truly awe inspiring and just through my recent discovery of KoreanEnglishmen has my interest in Korea grown exponentially. Also I recently tried proper Korean BBQ for the first time yesterday, and I can say, hand on heart, that the men’s reactions to the food in this video is absolutely accurate.

I'm not even Korean but looking at everyone's reaction I'm just so proud of Josh, Olly and the team for putting such high-quality effort into introducing Korean food (and Korea in general) to everyone. Food is the masterpiece of every country, while most people don't even think about trying different culture food, you guys have been offering properly prepared food and they fall in love every time! As a half korean I’ve been to korea to see my family and every time I go back home to france I miss korean bbq the most because you just cannot find this kind of meat in France and it will most likely be pricey because of exportation and the quality of the meat . I love your videos and I’m happy your showing Korea’s delicious food to the world :) !!
Same. But I have adapted my BBQ by looking for types of meat that are special here in Europe: for example the Black Iberian Pig. The Presa cut is heavily marbled and perfect for Korean BBQ. It's juicy and is void of the typical piggy smell.
If I want to switch it up a bit, I sometimes buy Wagyu from a local restaurant specializing in premium beef.
쌈무랑도 같이먹으면 진짜 맛있는데 ㅋㅋ 된장찌개가 저기 옆에 있어주면 딱인데ㅋㅋㅋ 외국인에게 된장찌개는 쫌 많이별로이려나 이렇게 한국음식을 해외로 하나씩알려지니 좋아요

What Josh and Oliie has done to make Korean food and culture to be so highly lauded and wanted especially in the West, cannot be denied. If anyone dares to look down on their work and dismiss them just because of some mistakes done in the past which were never intended to be malicious, those haters need to feel ashamed. I'm so glad Ollie and Josh are respectable and excellent men who pushed through, amidst the harsh, undeserved criticisms on them and even the people that they loved. 맛있는 음식을 처음 맛볼때 너무 맛있어 놀라고 행복해하는 표정이 너무 보기 좋습니다.
특히 김치를 코오슬로에 비유한 분 입맛이 굉장합니다.
난 개인적으로 영국남자가 해외에 한식 문화를 알리는데 엄청 큰 공헌을 했다고 봅니다.

전 여기 미국에서 가끔 현지 친구들과 삼겹살, 소주 파티를 합니다. 처음엔 쌈을 싸서 먹는것에 약간 거부감을 일으켰지만 지금은 혹시라도 제가 김치를 안구워주면 난리가 납니다. 여긴 소주가 한병에 7불 정도로 비싸지만 본인들이 알아서 사옵니다. 얼마전에는 소맥을 타줬더니 아주 난리가 나더군요. 물론 코로나 이전에요. 지금은 자기 가족들과 알아서 해먹습니다. 단지 막걸리 구하기가 힘들고 비싸다고 투덜대죠.

@@delta8087 they do have Kbbq resturants in the UK. not the exact real deal, but damn close id assume. cant say for sure cuz im not from the UK, but judging from what we got in the States, itll be pretty similar except for the pricing.

trust me if you come to UK, your gonna be homesick alot. maybe thats why not much asians. food isnt the best there and pretty expensive.
I have been to Korea and the BBQ/meat was like a religious experience - so it's not that English food is that bad, but K-BBQ is that good.

영국인 친구가 불고기 양념에 환장해서 피쉬앤칩스에 불고기 양념을 찍어먹을 정도라 어떤 점이 그렇게 맛있냐고 물어봤더니, 서양식 소스중엔 간장과 비슷한건 많지만 달면서 구수한 맛이 나는게 없다고 하더군요. 굴소스, 오리엔탈 소스 같은게 비슷하다던데 단맛은 나지만 구수한 맛이 없대요. 그게 불고기 양념이 맛있는 이유라 하길래 콩이랑 마늘에서 나온다고 했더니 신을 엄청 찾더군요. 자긴 둘다 싫어하는데 어떻게 그러냐며...
지금은 불고기 다음으로 간장계란밥을 제일 좋아하고 있습니다. 아마 간장에 빠진것 같아요.

건배 행위 자체는 외국에서 들어온 걸로 보여지나 '건배'라는 구호는 한자이기 때문에 중국은 깐뻬이, 한국에서는 건배, 일본은 간빠이라고 한자권 나라에서 같은 구호를 쓰고 있습니다. 일본에서 유래된 걸로 볼 수 없을 것 같아요~

하지만 순수 우리말인 조쉬님이 알려주는 "짠"도 있고 또 "지화자"라는 말도 잔을 부딪힐때 쓴다고 하더라구요^^
