I'm something of an IPA-drinking gamer myself 🤣Great to see IPA and games in the same video! If you ever go up't north, there's the biggest arcade in Europe in Bury, just sayin' 🙂
Sounds like you had a lovely time in my home town. Many years ago Le Pub used to do something similar where you could play games on a Sunday evening. Anyways, I walk past weird dad and tap house most days so it sounds like i must pay them a visit 👍🏻
Ah nice, we were going to visit Le Pub too but ran out of time. Absolutely recommend weird dad brewery, they had some nice Belgian styles on, I was impressed!
I had no idea about this- on the subject of places in Welsh cities devoted to retro gaming (specific) NQ64 in Cardiff is a pretty glorious place, you might've already been
@@Lydgendary very cool! that's not the only place like that, there are at least 2 more I know about in the centre maybe some other hidden gems that I don't know about due to being ...hidden, I guess
Great vid Lyd as per. Looks like you had a great time. Worth a visit just for the grilled cheese sandwiches alone. You've got to try Arcade Club in Bury you'll love it!
@@Lydgendary The owner Andy collects and repairs the machines himself. I came across him when he was on a BBC 2 programme called the collectibles about 8 years ago. His collection was valued at 300,000 pounds and that was then.
I must've changed trains a squillion times at Newport railway station but I've never actually ventured out to explore the city (yes, city status since 2002 since you asked at the start of the video). Looks like I might have to next time I'm there!
It's not a city I would have thought to visit either but I think it's got some real gems there! Don't forget to use the Google map list and check out the places I've put on there if you do!
@@Lydgendary Yeah, I've got a friend who manages some properties there so it feels like I only ever see the less appealing parts but clearly there are some nicer bits too. Thanks for leaving that Google Maps link! I'm terrible at navigation, haha 😅
Great day out! Loved the craft beer places, and fab to see some live music too. Goldeneye’s controls and that of the n64 certainly haven’t aged well! A great title nonetheless. Eternal Darkness is an excellent game. I’m a recent sub having seen you guys on Dale’s gamesroom series. Cheers! 👍😊🕹️
Nice little hidden gem in Wales... Well I have just found a nice little hidden gem near to where I live it's a retro computer museum I don't know if you've ever been there but I can tell you it's absolutely amazing and it's very cheap as well for two adults and two kids it was £21 I have mentioned it to a couple of the other retro gaming RUclipsrs it would be a perfect place to do a meetup with some of your subscribers because you can hire it out after the doors have closed which can hold up to 50 people I've mentioned it to Dan the games man, retro ghetto and obviously yourself Dan has seen some pictures that I took today and a video and he can't wait to organize and get together.... As they tell you when you enter if the game is turned on you can play it if there's a game that you want to play they will put it on for you every single console you can think of old to fairly new and stacks and stacks of games and there's even games you can buy if you want to know more let me know and I'll send you some information
There's an area of Québec City called 'Portneuf' which would seem like a better equivalent. 'Nieuport' looks too much like 'Nieuwpoort' to me, which would be Dutch. The only other language you should be using there is Welsh anyway 😜
Thanks for including us in your awesome day
My pleasure! It was great to see you guys play
Great video. I wish I had found your channel sooner. You have loads of great content!
I’m loving your style of videos and nice Vlog showing off. Subscribed.
I'd really love to check Newport out after seeing this! That tap bar looks exactly my kind of place!
Seeing my hometown visited in a RUclips video is really trippy haha

😱 Eternal Darkness!😱 That game is crazy! One of those Gcube titles that went under the radar.

Absolutely! Bury is a bit out the way but definitely want to explore more that way at some point!

Glad to hear it, thank you 😊
Cool
Holy Cheesus looks way too American. 🧐🤣
why are u using a filter at the start?
I'm not? Lol. Just different lighting and using a front camera closer than usual
@@Lydgendary looks for me theres a weird smoothing or out of focus on your face but maybe im wrong.
@@LKS98 definitely not using a filter so probably just focus and lighting but also doesn't matter either way? Lol

Who invited the filter police?! 😂 great vid, keep up the good work
Impossible! Newport, especially if you spell it in French, Nieuport has too many vowels to be Welsh! 🤦♂️🤣
