I've lived in Japan. You can't help but be slim because food is so expensive. Moving to Japan is the greatest diet plan on Earth. I am Japanese but I was born in America to Japanese Immigrants. (I'm "Nisei") and I'll tell you I've never been able to attract a Japanese women. I wish I could. I've always had the same boring *ss stereotype white "Iowa farmers daughter" type of girlfriend. I've always wanted a Japanese G/F-wife who is my intellectual equal or better (I'm an academic) who is willing to teach me Japanese culture and help me improve my language skills.

@@DaisukeJapan This is darnedest thing to me: There is a Japanese grocery store two blocks from where I live and I routinely go there to get whatever my mum wants me to make, like nasubi, kuri, daikon, whatever. (ugh ume furikake..) and I'll see groups of Japanese girls. I can always tell they are Japanese by the way they carry themselves and because I can understand what they are saying. They wont give me a first look. However if there is a white or hispanic girl among them I get checked out pretty hard. I will have to go back to Fukuoka again soon once COVID-19 dies down in the USA, and I wonder if I could attract a Japanese woman of child bearing age while I am there. Is she not going to understand alot of the behaviors and mannerisms I display? I can speak Japanese but I know it will be with a heavy foreign accent. Is that a disadvantage?

First of all, in Japan we don't generally have as much physically affectionate or verbally very communicative with lovers as we do in the US. For example, there are many Japanese men who are not very good at showing affection or talking about all their feelings to their girlfriends or wives. I think this might be due to culture and custom. About "they don’t compliment their girlfriends??" I think this has something to do with Japanese society. Japanese people are generally not very good at praising others because they also don't have much experience in receiving compliments from others. So that's why I guess many Japanese men don't know how to compliment their girlfriends or they feel embarrassed to say compliments to their girlfriends because it's not familiar for them. But this is just my personal opinion, so it depends on the men.
What is your opinion about younger Japanese men and older foreigner woman? For example 26 yrs old Japanese man and a 36 yrs old gaikokujin (looks younger)
That is so funny that you mention that Japanese men don't really care about big boobs because when you look at the anime, especially the boobs in the anime, lol it says otherwise

Many Japanese people tend to think negatively about things if the future is unsure. If I were him, I would think many things about the future when I come back to Japan. For example, even if I have an relationship with her, it would be hard to see her because we live in the different countries or I can find a new job easily in Japan, etc... What I want to tell you is that many Japanese men sometimes think too much when they have problems with their life or private. So if you really like him, you should tell your honest feeling and say that you can always beside with him. But if you are just interested in him but you don't see the future with him, you can wait for the his reply. Well this is just my personal opinion though :)

Sadly, I do not think many western girls are into japanese or south east asian men at all. But of course some are, with k-pop being rather popular in certain circles. I think (except for unhealthy and racist masculinity ideals) there is a fear among white women, that japanese wont find them attractive whatsoever, so why even bother/try. This was what I was thinking and was surprised to see men flirt with me there (online and on the streets), especially considering I am plus size (debu, haha). I never tried a relationship with anyone though. But there are millions of Japanese men so even if just a small percent would find you attractive, that is still a decent amount of people!
Yes, I have heard that there are some Western women who are interested in Asian men due to the influence of K-pop. But as you write, it must be rare. Probably you were attractive to Japanese men and that's why they flirted with you online or on the street. Yes, it is. That's the important information. Many Japanese people tend to think negatively about things if the future is unsure.
If I were him, I would think many things about the future when I come back to Japan.
For example, even if I have an relationship with her, it would be hard to see her because we live in the different countries or I can find a new job easily in Japan, etc...
What I want to tell you is that many Japanese men sometimes think too much when they have problems with their life or private. So if you really like him, you should tell your honest feeling and say that you can always beside with him.
But if you are just interested in him but you don't see the future with him, you can wait for the his reply.

I have one question for you, so I have been having a Japanese colleague, I started to like him. He has been out of Japan for 12 years, he has been livinf in Canada, USA as well as Europe. So we went out for dinner twice, and in the second time he asked me to go to his place to drink more beer. We went and started to kiss me, he said he likes me. Sadly, I do not think many western girls are into japanese or south east asian men at all. But of course some are, with k-pop being rather popular in certain circles. I think (except for unhealthy and racist masculinity ideals) there is a fear among white women, that japanese wont find them attractive whatsoever, so why even bother/try. This was what I was thinking and was surprised to see men flirt with me there (online and on the streets), especially considering I am plus size (debu, haha). I never tried a relationship with anyone though. But there are millions of Japanese men so even if just a small percent would find you attractive, that is still a decent amount of people!
