- Kylie Minogue interview on Australian TV program 'The Factory', in February 1988, to promote the release of 'I Should Be So Lucky'. ABC Alex Papps Andrew Daddo ABC1 80s 80's 1980s. ohnoitisnathan
Love this interview, reminds me of fun , innocent times in the 1990's.
My queen is absolutely gorgeous and stunning and beautiful ❤️
She had her Aussie accent back then. ❤️🇦🇺
Two days ago, I just bought her remix record. This is in advance of her upcoming "Disco" CD this weekend. "Lucky" was released when I was 16.
I wont be able to believe her today's accent anymore...she had the cutest aussie accent and today she sounds very british...
It is starting to come back again since she moved home to Australia. Its not 100% there but it is coming back I've noticed it in recent interviews.
Thanks for uploading this Nathan, gold...Alex: 'I could be so lucky'!
He/they also introduced the song as 'I Could Be So Lucky' when it first aired on The Factory. It was on a repeated episode shown during rage retro month circa 2009.
She'd be 20 here and she looks and sounds so innocent and sweet

I love watching these clips!! Wow, good to see Alex Papps, Andrew Daddo and a very young and fresh Kylie!! I love her early days and she was such as Aussie girl and when she starred in The Henderson Kids before Neighbours!! These days I don't listen to her as much, but I love her earlier work and the early 2000s era of her music. xx
Alex Papps of Home and Away introducing Kylie Minogue of Neighbours! Bliss!
Kylie was an adorable Aussie chick. I love the current Kylie but I really like this cheeky fair dinkum Sheila Kylie.
I miss interviews like this. Now is all so staged and rehearsed. Everyone is "thrilled" with this and "honored " to do that. You never know what's really going on.
That's a great point. While this might be a bit of a 'bad' interview/not reveal much, it is still far preferable than, as you say, the pre-rehearsed interviews we get today that are as bland as hell. I'd rather watch an awkward/train wreck interview like this.
ohnoitisnathan86 yes it is actually more entertaining than pre rehearsed
@@Anna-yp3bb playing around😂🤗
Yeah. Interviews are bland as fuck now. Artists have media training as standard, and all questions have to be filtered through the PR machine. Preserving "The Brand" is everything in the social media age
Well it's because of youtube. Back then TV spots were just TV spots...you only saw them once, if you were watching at the exact right time, then you never saw them again, and you forgot about them eventually. Today, anything that's broadcast on TV can potentially be replayed on youtube and twitter, where people can replay all they want and pause at random points, publish endless public commentary about the hair, and the clothes, and she looks bigger now than she did in some other interview, and how her eyes were looking at the floor when she gave that answer so she must've been lying...make memes out of her...you couldn't do that then. No wonder interviews have to be polished and reveal nothing, because they're subject to so much more scrutiny.
So cute ❤🥰❤
Fuck man Andrew Daddo with long hair
LOL
Wow such a clear recording n OMG what kinda fool I am dreaming of my love 😥
I wonder if Jason got nervous seeing this flirting and playing with her hair etc. Great fun interview
Nice to hear this story while she was in the middle of it. Just recorded Lucky but nothing else with SAW.
Uh… she recorded 4 albums with SAW… she was under contract with them from 87 to 92. All of her late 80s and early 90s records were produced by them, with the exception of Locomotion which was originally produced by Mushroom in 87 and released only in Australia. She was still contracted to Mushroom who released her music in Oz, but SAW were her main producers.
@@aaronjones7260 I think he is talking about at the time of this interview.
I Could be so Lucky 😂😂😂😂 yeah ok 👍
🤍
*Why wasn't she interviewed by Bobby Simpson ..*
Sancho from Alf stuwart
What the hell is “fame and misfortune” a tv show that she did when she was in grade six? Never heard of it, nor have I heard of “home” either
Try "Home and Away".
Thanks but Kylie was never on home and away. Dannii was a cast member for a year after her stint on all the way, post YTT.
I remember watching "Fame and Misfortune when I was a kid... She played the obnoxious sister of the protagonist in the show. They hated each other and were fighting a lot from what I remember... lol... Good times!!! 😂
