  • This edition of the ORF Fellows Seminar Series will discuss ORF authors, Mona and Shoba Suri’s research paper, Gendered Prevalence of Non-Communicable Diseases in India’s Older Adults. As India experiences a rise in the population of older adults, a higher proportion of women over 60, compared to their male counterparts, are found to be suffering from Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs). This seminar will explore the reasons for the greater predisposition of elderly women to NCDs, and underline policy options towards a gender- and age-responsive health system for older adult women in India.
