Dear Sewing Friends - I am with you! Let me know what is your preferred thing: crafting or sewing, or maybe both? Let me know! :) Stay positive and craft on! :)
I like both. If need a heavy table for the porch that won't blow away, to save money, I rescue an end table and learn how to tile using tiles from Habitat Humanity. I crochet, paint, knit, draw, etc. Just keep learning. Have you tried appliqueing fabric cards? Great for using up scraps.
I'm a big time re-gifter! I often re-gift to my students! I was a full-time- free-time greeting card maker until I found the world of me-made garments! My craft room upstairs is dedicated to everything paper crafts and now have a room downstairs for my sewing studio!
I sew all things, quilts, and crochet, garden, and craft all things. And I love how you describe your Christmas -- being "respectful" of both cultures. Love it.
Greetings from Texas ( I'm from the tiny country of Guatemala)! I love all crafts, card making, watercolors, cooking, quilting, gardening, and a little bit of sewing. So many fun things!
Carmen, thank you! Canada - that's awesome, I have visited the Niagara falls this past fall and never got to go to the Canadian side, but next time - for sure!
Hi Alisa. Watching you from Seoul, South Korea. I mainly sew (when I can find the time). I always reuse giftbags, giftpaper, ribbons etc. My mother and grandmother already did that, I do it, and I hope my children will as well... Keep up the good work!
I do lots of different crafting. I started off crocheting, then sewing a little bit, then woodworking, quilling, then onto paper crafts, pocket letters, atc's cards, you name it, i also am now playing around with foiling, geli plates, laminating and mixed media. I absolutely love sewing on my cards and paper crafts. I am a mixed media combo, i add crochet lace sometimes to my projects, cards or atcs.Buttons ,all kinds of things.
Thanks for this video. I love it. We do cards too. We usually use parts from cards we already got and sometimes from nice packaging etc. I do love crafts. I sew, quilt, knit and I am learning crochet. I love to paint and decorate and do crafts with Alice. Yesterday we did paper flowers and decorated egg and today we are making yarn butterflies. Have a lovely day and stay safe.
Hi Alisa, what a wonderful idea to make your own cards from old gift paper. I'm originally from Czech republic, but have been living in Ireland for 7 years now, and I love to sew and bake 😊.
I'm a fiber artist. I make items from felted wool.I use old wool sweaters that are washed in hot water and dried in hot dryer. To a lesser extent, I sew and am an installation artist. Like good ideas!
Hello, Im watching you from Mexico 😄 But my crafting story started maybe two years ago in my country Poland, and after moving to Mexico I started sewing. So I am still new in it 😀
Brilliant...again! Only joked with my friend today about getting going on Christmas cards...wow...you beat us by months!🤣 Very beautiful and a great idea to sew them, love the texture it gives. Thanks and love from North Pennines, County Durham, UK xx
Hey Alisa, I'm a sewer- full wardrobe.... have to sew everything I wear. Knitter- love that I taught myself that also! My favourite thing has always been to make jewellery. Love me some beads and fishing line, with a crochet hook thrown in. My first crafting was first making cards, and basic cross-stitching with my gran!❤️ Which I love to remember, as I haven't had any grandparents for over 20yrs. I LOVE cross-stitching, but doing big pictures takes so long, I have to put my NEED to wear clothes outside the house! over wanting to do many other things, for many years. & My health sometimes doesn't leave much time for even sewing. I'm insanely jealous of those who like yourself can draw. (Evil people!!!) (said with a very joking voice!!!!) Being so creative, yet being only able to draw like an 8 yr old, is so sad & torturous sometimes! On a personal note; I hope your keeping yourself safe. As someone who injests far too much politics from Australia and America- I know what your facing. With the risk of offending- as Americans take politics EXTREMELY seriously. I just hope you're not listening to anything your President is telling you. For it has, and it will kill many. The reason I say that- is because I love watching you! I can only watch a handful of RUclipsrs, and I would very much like to keep on watching you for quite some time!!! 😊 So I of course want you and your family to be safe.🤗 I really liked hearing of your familys past, your original country, (I do our family's history- genealogy properly) your family home and hearing about what you said. I'd love to know how you ended up in USA, and how your English is so perfect! You have no European accent from east to west!! I'd love to know why! Especially since your folks are still there! I'm learning Korean, so find it fascinating you have no accent. Have a great day😊, stay safe, as well as anyone reading from around the world. 😊 Oh I live around 30km's east of Perth Western Australia. Great idea! Oh and regifting, the amount of waste in this world is inexcusable, go for it!😊
Alisa, I love watching your channel. I mostly sew and LOVE ❤️ 💕 LOVE watching your free pattern vlogs. Thank you for keeping us entertained during these hard times. From Cincinnati OH USA

Hello from Manchester, England. Abakhan on Oldham Street is my third favourite shop. Abakhan in Bolton second favourite, but the mothership is Abakhan at Mostyn, North Wales - if your mum hasn't been there it's about 90 mins from Manchester and an all day treat for fabric fanciers, notions nuts and crafty creatives - there is a cafe on site and they make a good brew. Hope it opens soon...
Thank you for sharing some background! I love to hear how other religions and cultures do things. We are all the same, but different in fun ways. I love your accent. :) Watching from North Carolina. I love to craft and sew! I am looking forward to whipping out some gift bags to make cards. :)
Lansing, Michigan. I am working at home and i have my computers on my oak desk. My sewing machine is in my sewing container stack. I have a storage foot stool with fabric in it and the storage containers on top of that. It makes it easy to get in a quick face mask in at lunch time .
I sew crafty things, love the idea of sewing paper, have done some of that years ago. Mostly sewing clothing right now but love this idea...good for gifts, will try this! Love your channel!

Wonderful, Lene! Oh, I love sewing for my little one too, she is almost 1,5 years old - there are plenty of free sewing pattern for kids, too! Yes, make some cards, reuse some stuff that you have at home - make some room for new creativity :)
You could also trace the penguins (or whatever) and cut out fabric to make the penguins and stick that to the card then sew around it (like applique). I've had a new silver CH05 embroidery/sewing machine for 2 years but dur to illness, I haven't even gotten around to unboxing it yet. Plus a few other machines which I can do freehand embroidery one, including JL mini sewing machine.
I sew and do lots of yard and home repairs. Love design and decor. Love the idea of sewing on top of cards. I live in Arizona US. 🌵 Great video Alisa. ❤️
