Of course they will. The song promises to keep is from Aerith to Cloud, it's a love song confirmed by Nobuo Uematsu. Cloud's song isn't exactly a love song (Hollow), but in it he talks about his regret for letting Aerith go.
"Will you be in the world I'm trying to save?" "The world will be saved, but will you?" We've got to get her back. We just have to. I can imagine Cloud finding a yellow flower early on in part 3. (Or perhaps an identical yellow flower pin badge to the one we see on their dream date.) He pins it on his chest like Aerith did and carries it with him. Then when he finds her, he gives her the yellow flower as a role reversal of their first meeting. ("Lovers used to give these, when they were reunited.") As a 28 year old straight dude, these two characters have me dealing with emotions I never thought I was capable of.
@@Storm1Trooper5 I'm a little ashamed to admit it, but the ending of Rebirth had me bawling my eyes out. It was the first time I had cried for about 20 years, and it was these two characters that broke me.
@@DuffmanChess remake built up a lot for them and then rebirth didn’t have much until the last 3 hours which were an absolute rollercoaster of cloud and Aerith moments that came out of nowhere. I don’t blame you for getting emotional it was crazy

I'm not particularly into the whole shipping of any of the characters but I just wanted to say from a cinematic/edit standpoint you did a fantastic job. (You've already addressed the flashing portion which would be my real only gripe) Other than that though this is just fantastic and thank you for taking the time and effort to make it.
In OG Aerith tells Cloud to leave Sephiroth to her. Here we see Cloud making the same promise. At the end it says "No promises kept at journey's end"... Any ideas what this could be about?
