Well. This seals it. There wasn't a single time I rooted for the revenant. I was even happy when the bear utterly spanked it like it owed him money. That damn revenant really is my most hated enemy in the game.
They were my most hated enemy until I learned the trick to Revenants is to NEVER backdodge when fighting them. All their attacks are backdodge catchers.
That Castle Sol red-eyed Banished Knight is _SUCH_ a beastly opponent. I'll never forget my first encounter shooting at him from the vantage point only to have him instantly teleport up directly behind me and knock me off the ledge to my death. Really cool to see him showing up in a matchup like this an absolutely obliterating the competition. Also really neat to see a bunch of less common enemies in the AI battles showing up here, so thanks for the variety all around!
I literally tried that! I guess you're talking about the vantage point where a giant graves are? I was absolutely panicking when he disappeared and teleport directly infront of me. If I hadn't pulled out a parry I would've died.
@@finger3215 Oh, I was just referring to the castle itself where you walk around the tower and there's the ladder leading down to where he's waiting on the ramparts below. Excellent video. I was cheering for the banished knight when he teleported behind the Revenant. A mechanic I hated when playing against him, but was awesome to see it used against the worst enemy in the game. A battle royale of all strongest enemies in Elden Ring?
I did not forsee the land octopus winning. I did not take into consideration how much damage resistance they have when not performing a critical strike on them.
The thing with land octopi is that they only take real damage if you hit them in the face. It isn't even about the downed state or not. Just the side you hit them from. AI isn't really conditioned to circle around and hit at particular bodyparts.
The Crucible Knight just tanking the rush and breaking the assault before promptly stomping its skull and dropping the sword on the Revenant might be the coolest one of these I’ve seen in a while.

Enemy ai usually avoids AOE attacks by the player by reading inputs and dodging away from where youre locked on. Against eachother they would just stand in the damage and rot and the fight would be boring.
The Rotten Tree avatars from Haligtree would absolutely destroy any normal enemy. One Ass slam would be enough to kill anyone considering the amount of rot it spills around.
