That whistle was actually from the real 765. That was a Nathan 6 chime whistle recorded in the 80’s or 90’s. They returned the whistle in 2023. In 2024, the 6 chime is still there.
Hollw cow.... That's a Hall of Fame whistle. Reflects the nostalgia of the one who is going and the hope of the one who is comming. The smoke and steam whistle are also great features that make worthy pay Lionelesque price tags on such an art piece. Congrats! Best regards from Mexico.
Great video and nice collection. My collection consists of multiple geared steam engines along with Alco Diesels. For my next engine I wanted to get a rod driven steam engine since I do not have one and after considering a few choices, I went with the NPR #765. I have it on pre-order and should have it some time next month.
I love your layout! It speaks to those of us with neither the time or patience for a scaled theme; those of us who just like to relax and watch trains run.😊
Ken Munoz thanks a lot, Ken! I don’t have the time and room to build a real table. Plus, I won’t be able to be here all the time when I go to college so I just enjoy collecting more engines so I have more when I start off with my first layout. And of course it’s a lot easier to walk around on the floor if something derails or has an issue. Thanks again, Ken!
MPT 1225 Thanks for the reply and I wish to add for reference: As you are off to college it suggests you’re much younger than myself. Over the years I’ve been helping my 12 year old daughter appreciate the hobby as I did in my youth by constructing a similar layout on our living room floor. I show her your videos all the time as a reference for the funner side of the hobby. This morning we were both awed over your insertion of a real “run-by” of your actual locomotive; tasteful genius! In closing- your videos are of extremely high quality; the vantage points, camera angles, depth of field, focal length all lend to very tasteful production values and the number of “likes” you have is not an accurate representation of what you offer here. Good luck in college... don’t come back till it’s done... and if I have a word of advice to your generation from mine: today’s BA has little value; MA/MS will get you in the door to “that job; but a Doctorate will cover you for life. Now go git ‘er dun’! 💪🏽
Ken Munoz Ken, this is probably the nicest and most touching comment I’ve ever received. All I can say is thank you. I really appreciate the kind words and people like you are the ones that keep me going in making videos. I should’ve been clearer. I’m going to High school this coming school year, so I have time until college lol. I’m really happy that you enjoy these videos. Thanks again, Ken!

Looks good mark and Happy Birthday! I have the first generation 765 so it doesn’t have the mars light. Wish lionel would’ve made the 779 cuz i would’ve bought that one. U and my uncle bill share the same birthday.
Tallyock, i know about that tmcc 779. But if i remember correctly it didn’t have a mars light on it and i love how the NKP berks look with the mars light on them. Plus the 779 is the only NKP berk to survive with it’s mars light it’s whole life if i remember correctly and it’s the last of their berks. Beautiful engine, just wish it wasn’t sitting in a park on static display.
Train Chamber thank you Joe! Yes I see why you love the model lol. Umm not really I mean it seems normal to me, but idk. Make sure you have the sounds all turned up. Look at the volume pot in the tender and turn that up, hit the volume up button on the remote, and also Aux 1 volume up. That controls all the other sounds besides the bell and whistle
Thank you very much! There isn’t a separate boiler front included to switch, but I’m sure you can just do the same process and buy a boiler front from Lionel.
@@MPT_Productions Ah, I see. I'm really asking because I'm thinking of buying one. Don't get me wrong the Mars light looks awesome, but I would like the single headlight as well
Hi MPT1225 I realy enjoyed seeing the NKP 765 pulling the NYC passenger cares.I agree with you the whistle has an awesome sound to it. In the video I seen another NKP engine. Is it a Mikado engine? I have to say you have a nice collection of steam locomotives. All the steam Locomotives are they Lionel with legacy System? I notes the crew talk is a little different then the NKP 757 which is a good thing to do with the same road name. Thanks for sharing your new NKP engine and Happy birthday. The split video is so cool. That is a fantastic video! Thanks. I have almost the same loco, 767. Your exhaust beat sounds nicer than mine - a bit more uneven. Did you set it differently i.e. more load? I can't on mine - well I could if I could get the alternative door.
