and what about IGNEOUS SCORN? not only does it deal 120% damage practically every 6 sec but it also increases damage by 10%. with the extension of the duration of positive effects it increases dmg for 4 sec. it's almost like BOTTLED HOPE 5lvl but here we have additional dmg.
I agree with most of this list, though it’s tailored to dh. A few notes: 1) since entropic well only boosts skill damage, before deciding to use it, I’d look at my dps breakdown at the dummy and see what percentage of my damage was primary. If at least 50%, I definitely wouldn’t use it. 2) freedom and devotion is great for any summons build where summons have a duration that can’t be extended indefinitely (so basically, NON-necro summons) 3) among two stars, you completely overlooked mother’s lament and bloody reach. Bloody reach and bottled hope both have double effect for summons, but are both great for most dh builds. Other good 2 stars for specific content are the explosion gems. Igneous scorn is good for both PvP (especially when paired with dot gems that it can trigger from, interrupting bandaging) and farming, whereas volatile shard is only good for farming. For pve summon builds, echoing shade is best in slot, and follower’s burden is either top 8 or honorable mention for certain builds. I’d swap fervent fang out for summon builds, as it doesn’t apply to summons.
My main and my alts have something in common, all of them have BSJ, Bile, Starfire and Roiling. It's good for non reso pvp because it's all rank 10 there 👻
@@philip3139 its good for necromancer for higher secondary potency player but not for f2p or someone with 4k below potency. Everlasting needs lots of potency to be good. Berserker eye is an amazing gem especially for free to play and small spender players that are under 2.5k reso or maybe more?

As a general rule for most classes BSJ + Roiling + Bottled are 5s staples. After that it's all about your class, preferences and economy 😊
