I enjoy learning about other Cultures. These documentaries give me a glimpse into the lives of people in other countries. And I didn't even have to leave the comfort of my home. Or spend any money on traveling to these countries.

@@shamalmahayni911 - because Western media LOVES the story about "The poor poor Refugees who will NEVER be able to return home to Syria"! Such headlines sell newspapers .... and other stuff!

@@shamalmahayni911 I'd heard 1/3 of the people there died 😐. So, going back to normal doesn't seem so easy. But good to know.

This was probably in 2010-2011, and last update since the civil war (nine years too long), Damascus is largely untouched compared to the rest of the country. Hopefully the rebuilding process is doing well in Syria.

45:36, those judges are like the English teachers that say a character is depressed because they have blue curtains. 🤦 They be reading too much into a cardboard model. What happened to kids expressing themselves?

At the very end, it's revealed that his family got the visa for Canada and they leave to Canada at the very end. If you mean what he's up to know, who knows. Hopefully he's successful in whatever he is doing, I think he was 14 here and this was in 2010 so he's about 27/28 now.
