Love the socks Ben! (just ordered some!) I've been waiting for your review of the AF3, did a long rep run in mine today (nowhere near your pace) and I love them!
@@BenIsRunning didn’t feel so lucky when a couple of people said the arch issue was still there but I’ve had no issues and will be racing my first half since 2022 in them next Sunday, with matching socks, obviously! 😁
Glad to hear you'll be doing Copenhagen in May. I will be there too. It will be my fourth marathon, but my first since 2007 when I was a much younger man. Would love to see you there!
Hi Ali! I did try the AF2 and had the arch issue, it did not bother me but it was noticible, with this new AF3 I just ran a 3X3000 and can tell you I had no arch issues!
As someone who couldn’t run in the AF2 and loved the VF3, I’m in love with the AF3. The fit and feel is far more similar to the vf3 than the af2. It basically feels like a bouncier version of the VF3 with a negligible weight difference and better lockdown because of the sock upper. Just my take, no expert
Never heard anyone called horchata sweet milk (it's a root plant-based drink mixed with water and sugar ) before but your description is fairly accurate to what it tastes like.
Nice video! quick question, in terms of Marathon running how does the Alphafly 3 compare with the Wave Rebellion Pro 2 - I'm considering either for the Chicago Marathon. I'm a Midfoot/Forefoot Striker. Good luck with the Valencia 10k
Good that your training is going in the right direction. Maybe you could just complete the Seville marathon 10 secs slower than your pace? Could still count as a really good training run! All the best for the 10k!
Yes in theory I could but it’s the recovery needed after a full marathon I want to bypass if possible. I’m looking to bank a good training effect and continue training in the coming weeks :)
You should organise a run for all your subscribers I’m sure many would turn up ! Keep up the great work I’m currently training for my the London marathon my first ever one keeping me going
If I’d have been more organised this would have been good. Not sure how popular the 10k is in comparison to say the marathon so it didnt cross my mind to be honest :)
@@BenIsRunning I live in Romford and I am part of the Upminster running club! A few here watch you I’m sure you’ll get a lot of people out for a 5/10k run
I never thought I’d be saying this but the reb pros feel faster! Slightly less comfortable and a little unnatural don’t for pure speed the rebs feel great. Need to race in them both to be able to give a fair comparison mind :)
@@BenIsRunning I've a marathon coming up in April and I can't decided between the pro 2s or the New Balance SC Elite V3 haven't tried either but heard very good things about the V3
@@markoljustina I don't get on with nike running shoes, I've ran a 1:21 HM in the first version of the pro 1s so I'm looking forward to seeing what the pro 2s are like

Recently got posterior shin splints and haven't been running for about a week now. Do you have any tips on what I can do in the mean time to keep my fitness up and how I can get back to running as soon as possible?
Both exceptional racing shoes for the marathon distance. The pro3 doesn’t feel as special but as soon as you hit marathon pace in them they are exceptional. I ran my pb in the pro 3. In terms of comparison, the alphafly is a little softer and more bouncy where as I’d say the pro 3 is slightly firmer and more stable midsole
Fan I have ran at the track season at Chelmsford. Good experience. Big fan . Could u please help me organise a training plan I am 15 trying to build my mileage and stay injury free
That’s great! Speak to a running coach- some great ones at Chelmsford, they can give you a training plan designed for your ability! Good luck with your running
@@BenIsRunning hi Ben thanks for the reply , I have kept mileage consistent but I am not seeing improvements could I tell u what I do and how i can improve
i watched your previous review of the alphafly 2, and im a little confused. You said in this video it was abit of a disappointment, but in your previous review videos of the alphafly 2, you praised that shoe. Did something change?
The alphafly 2 is a great shoe but I think for many, myself included, the original was a little better performance wise. The 2 therefore didn’t live up to the hype. The 3 seems to be an improvement on both :)
I wouldn’t describe either as supportive 😂 zoom x foam is designed for speed over stability that’s for sure. I’d pick vaporfly though as the more supportive of the two
@@BenIsRunning Exacty why Im asking becasue the Vapor 3s gave me trouble over my last marathon.. So I was hoping the alpha 3s were maybe wider and more supportive. Have to look elsewhere I guess for my next Marathon shoes. Some of us need support Ben we are not all flying like you 😆😅😅
Nice Ben! Good to see you back grinding big sessions! Cheers!
Thanks, plenty more to come before I’m where I want to be :)
Nice to hear you’re doing Copenhagen this year again! I’ll also be there for my second ever marathon and would love to see you over there!

Good luck Sunday!! Good memories running in the old Turia riverside.

Man you are so lucky to be doing this. I had a stress response the same time as you and have just done my first mini session!
Ben is built different I guess 😂 nah but you are right, crazy turnaround for a stress response but fair play to Ben.
Great session Ben, and Kush😊 Nice to see the dream team back.

It really is! Both the half and marathon are some of my favourites to do

The Alphafly 2 arch ruined it for me. I hope the Alphafly 3 doesn't have the same issue. If so il stick to Adios Pro 3 and Hoka Rocket x2's
I’ve not had any issues but then again didn’t really experience this issue in the previous version

I loved the pronounced arch in 1 & 2 and even in the miller 3
Stick an insole from another runner in and you won't notice it. It actually adds cushion and no arch issue
