Hello, I have a a very similar set up, I noticed you are getting quite a bit of channeling, which I was getting same with my single shots (despite having a really top of the line grinder and using WDT tool), all that is fixed now once I started using a puck screen, I use normcore and seems to really work and for me, it really hasn't impacted my grind size etc. I just use it straight up and no more channeling, every puck comes out beautiful not to mention, my group head stays super clean now. Take care!
For the steam pressure; you need to increase the temperature in your steam boiler. You your PID and change it to max temp or 133C. That will increase your pressure to around 2bars which should be more than enough. Good luck and enjoy your pro 700
If you like cappuccino (or any milk drinks), I recommend trying the 14g basket. I have a profitec pro 500, and I got an IMS 14g basket. It fits around 11g and gets a better extraction than single baskets. I also use the puckscreen to keep my shower screen clean.
As you've got your machine plumbed in, it might be worth your while to investigate pre-infusion. Whole Latte Love have a RUclips video, "How To: Pre-Infusion on E61 Brew Group Espresso Machines" that demonstrates the basics using the PP700.
The pucks should be dry and come out as one piece. Typically picks are wet from not enough grinds in the portafilter. Are you using the correct size basket? Usually these machines come with a single shot basket (not sure the grams) and double shot (18g)
puck looks like quite a bit of channeling. Need some improvement with puck prep. WDT is stolid but need to make sure the sifter is sized correctly and you're tamping properly. I don't use a puck screen.
Please don’t wash your coffee down the drain! This goes against guidelines and is irresponsible to waste water management, which gets blocked up by all sorts of things

Thanks! That makes a lot of sense now that you mention it

But with that being said if you like the taste I think that’s what matters most
It’s the single basket but I think I’ll get a different one and test it out. Cheers for the reply!

2 things. Link the scale! Also throw your pucks away or dump them in the garden, stop putting them down the drain.

I have an insinkerator. I grind everything from apple cores to chickenbones right down the drain. I bet you cant sleep after hearing this!
