I disagree. I think Mikaela's character is experiencing the "Jessica Rabbit effect". Allow me to explain. When most people consider the character of Jessica Rabbit from the movie Who Framed Roger Rabbit, what is the first thing they see? Do they see a character who is kind and sweet and completely devoted to her wacky husband....even to the point of compromising her own reputation to protect him? Or do they see a smoking hot sex kitten with big boobs and no character who is, to quote you, "just playing the hot girl"? I think Michael Bay framed Mikaela's character in a way that makes us THINK she's just what you said.....someone who is "the hot girl". But she's more than that. She's written very intelligently, she's beautiful, intelligent and has a strong character arc and a sympathetic backstory....definitely more-so than Sam....but her framing paints her as just another smoking hot, bubble-headed sex symbol who is only there to serve as eye candy for Sam and every other horny male in the audience to drool over. Most people don't see her true worth because all Michael Bay wants them to see is her body.

Abu Saeed I understand where you’re coming from, but I have to respectfully disagree; in the business she’s in, you can’t always choose what role you want to play, granted, you have the freedom to do so, it doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll land the role. I’m pretty sure if Megan were to try out for a certain role, the first thing they’d probably notice is her apparent beauty, which is the first thing the audience will notice about her as well. I suppose she is a victim of the “type cast” most actors get stuck with as well. Much like Marylin Monroe always played the ditsy blonde bombshell, she wasn’t at all like the roles she played, but that’s the roles that were offered for her to become more recognized, sadly people confused her true self with those roles. Maybe I’m dragging this on too much, but again, that’s my opinion. :)

Look everybody in the eyes, smile a lot, crack some jokes. Also when you talk to somebody you like, lower your eyelids when you talk to them & say their name a lot. I agree this is a good technique, but it is still extremely painful i don't look like her.

We all know that she is hot but she she is also so talented. If you watched Jenifers body, you know how well she played the role. It’s so sad to see her in over sexualised roles when she has so much more potential than that. All her roles were small and usually played as the “hot girl”, I mean literally the first role she got was at 15 ( mind you she was a MINOR) and the director got her half naked in a bikini getting soaked under a waterfall. I think it’s because I’m a woman, I’m not blinded in the same way men are. Megan wasn’t just a pretty face for the movie, but her comedic timing, her chemistry with Shia, and her emotional scenes (when Sam died) is what made her so perfect for the role. When they replaced her with Rosie Huntington, it was very clear that Megan’s character (Mikayla) was more than just eye candy. Rosie was purely eye candy and couldn’t act to save her life. Brad Pitt used to face the same problem, it was hard for people to take him seriously because he was so handsome. He was typecasted a lot, and even when he did branch out, all people could see was Brad Pitt’s pretty face playing a character, and not see him as that actual character. But because he’s a man, he has an easier time convincing people he’s not just a pretty face. Megan, not so much.

Prime Megan fox was the hottest actress ever I don’t even care. Transformers was so much better when it was Shia and Megan. The only human side of transformers I liked. (I liked Duhamel’s character as well) but fr.. Megan fox and what I’ve done by linkin park playing in the background is so nostalgic for me. Walking up at like 5:30 in the morning before school to watch transformers armada as a kid and then seeing a trailer for live action transformers years later was so cool. I was so hyped. One of the only movies to come out when I was in my teens that has cgi that still holds up as well. It’s crazy how good the transformations and stuff were for 2007.
