I just LOVE your budgies and their room! How long have they lived like this? Does this room belong exclusively to ypur budgies or do you live or hang out in there, too? What's on the floor below them? Newspaper? Do they destroy anything? 8 of budgies have freedom all day but its my livingroom! And five of them are very friendly.
Thank you! The oldest one (Mika - blue & white male) is 6 1/2 years old. I started out with 1 budgie 10 years ago. The birds have always been free roam, their cages are never closed. Their setup is in the corner of the living room. Yes we hang out there and interact with them throughout each day. There is newspaper underneath them. I vacuum the parquet flooring daily and mop every few days. Also wiping the leather couches with disinfectant wipes.
They have various chew toys and the natural rope to chew on, so they have not destroyed anything other than that.
There is daily cleanup after them, but nothing compared to the happiness they have when they spread their wings!

Thank you for sharing this! I don't feel so crazy now for letting my budgies enjoy their freedom. I've gotten some ideas from your videos that I'm going to implement right away, like hanging perches from the ceiling.
