I think shooting for projects is much more interesting and it gets you out for a purpose. I like how you have used a Zine to share the story. I have recently begun doing this to help get my work off my hard drive and leave something behind when I’m gone. Thanks for sharing this idea.
Due to time pressure I just wanted to have a short look at this video but I just couldn't stop watching, very meaningful procrastination...:) Very well done!
Phenomenal video, really enjoyed the message, the editing and the idea of the empty space overlap with your photos from an earlier time. Well crafted Robin!
I just love to see your films Sir Robin and your sense of photography beyond the technical. I agree with the story telling and have an incling toward reportage myself. But I really love it, when one photograp is able to tell a story or maybe even more than one. You either have to be very clever or very lucky or both. Loved your cross cutting between the busy railway station shots and the empty station footage. Well thought of!
Awesome video Robin!😎 Just what I needed at this time, some direction for my photography and main takeway is to create a "Project" telling a meaningful story and shoot with purpose! Very Inspirational! 👍 Hey, I have to mention that your Photographs and videography are amazing! Thanks for sharing this wonderful video.✌
Thanks for the video. I just got last week my private „Covid 2020/2021“ photo book project delivered. Just incredible what was „standard“ just 3-4 yrs ago. Greetings from Speyer in Germany 🇩🇪 - Markus
Hi Robin! I was wondering if you could share with us how you scan and print those photos that you hold in your hand? Do you print them in the darkroom, or use a dedicated inkjet for the prints? I'm currently using a 10+ year old Epson V700 film scanner for 35mm, but curious what is a more modern process nowadays. Thanks so much! :)
Nice vid and approach. This begs the question how to fund a project? Do it in one‘s spare time on holiday, sell zines and do workshops? No offense, really just curious about photo project funding opportunities.
Loved this! 100% agree and awesome idea to show the locations juxtaposed to the images. So cool!
This is probably one of your best videos. It’s like a meditation in this crazy world these days. Thank you!
Wonderful documentary. Unique and interesting concept with fantastic images.

Nice one. I enjoy the added value that photos gain after that place/subject has changed a lot!

Pentax MX + SMC 40mm Ilford Kentmere, Kodak Tri-X 400ASA. Don't over think, follow your instincts. : )
Its a great work in black and white in Bangkok railway station
I really fancy going to Bangkok for the session in April, but it's all a bit short notice. Will you be running anymore sessions later in the year?
What happened to the IDS grip?
