Luxembourg American Cemetery - Memorial Day 2018

Honoring the fallen US service members at the Luxembourg American Cemetery, located outside of Luxembourg City, Luxembourg. We also visit the nearby Sandweiler German war cemetery.

I remember when my grandad took me to germany and some of the surrounding countries, and we drove to this cemetery only for it to be closed.
My grandfather wanted to see Patton's grave so badly, so he told me to scale the big ass gate and unlock it from the inside.
somehow it worked and we weren't bothered by any security and me and my granddad had the whole place to ourselves.

I visited Luxembourg about a decade ago and actually was surprised to see that Patton was buried there. Furthermore, he's immortalized in a granite bust right near downtown City center in bastogne. There's a park off of the road and a long stretch of grass with a rock walkway on both sides of the grass that lead to the very end where the bust is located. It is huge, about 6 ft tall and is very respectful and pays homage to the great general.
