I just applied for about 15 seasonal jobs at Yosemite National park. I really hope I get one of them.
Seeing this video really helped me 💚‼️🤟🏽🤘🏽🌎
In 2021 for the talent show I read a poem called “the lies of Yellowstone” and it talked about the first three - I’m not drinking tonight, I’m never coming back and I love you. So seeing that frame at the end made me laugh
NO WAY. That's phenomenal, omg 😂👏🏼
@@laurenericks0n was a great time
I've heard people say that constantly, while in Canyon Village in 2018, I went in sober and left drinking vodka. I'm trying to go back next year. HR in Greenwood Village, Colorado, and their village mentality didn't let me go this year. Because of a harsh remark I made to someone that I thought I loved until I found out she was sleeping around. But I'm the bad guy? Loyalty then Royalty.
Wow. This person gets it. Great video. Thanks!
Start work in Lake at the beginning of next month! So, so very excited! Thank you for your insight 😌🙏🏻
I start at old faithful tomorrow!
@@HiImBees Good luck with everything! Hope you’re having a blast already!
How did it go?
Lots of enriching info. I’ve been interested in working a national park for some time. Can’t wait 2023
I just applied with Delaware North Careers to be a server position with Yellowstone general stores. I have an RV I’ll be living in full time with my cat and bird and I can’t find anything on what the RV sites look like out there for employees 😭😭 very excited though!
Oooh, good luck!! So excited for you! I think employees just park their RVs in one of the nearby campsites if I recall correctly. The closest one to where I worked was Bridge Bay. Here's a link to some pics: www.yellowstonenationalparklodges.com/lodgings/camping/bridge-bay-campground/
@@laurenericks0n ugh I hope so! Those sites look so pretty! I feel so fortunate that I won’t have to deal with the dormitories rules and lack of space. I’m a little sad that it’s for such short periods of time to work with them.
My first day working in house keeping in the old faithful inn is April 21st. I'm so hyped! And these videos are making me even more excited!
how was it??
Wow, very cool Lauren!
So excited to reach for this thanks for the video!
Hi! it was so a useful video because I´m gonna work this summer 2022 soo... it´ll be their next weekend..tanks so much from Ecuador :D
Hey bro, how was it?
Yellowstone National Park was established by Grant in 1872.
Next month I'm starting as a cook up there seems super cool
Thanks for this informative video!
Great video! Thanks 4 the useful info, I start in April @ Canyon Village !! Hope to see you around !!
Canyon's solid, they've got a lot of good stuff around, including a little shopping area. Good luck to you!! :)
@@laurenericks0n I can't waittt! Goodluck on your journey also! Im writing a book also I watched your video on writing I liked it, keep striving!
Wow, thank you for your honest not sugar coated review of working in the National Park. Sounds brutal and I’m sure low pay while the National Park System makes oodles of profits. Where I work the owner has a different Mercedes’ for every work day but we haven’t gotten a raise in 2 years 😩
Do you even need hight pay working at a place so beautiful, you find yourself, that’s the only pay you need
The national parks are actually pretty underfunded, they definitely dont have tons of money!
She’s talking about the owners of the hotels/restaurants
I just got offered a job as a hostess at the lake yellowstone hotel may through September, any specific tidbits or advice besides this? Thank you for sharing!!
Yayyy, congrats!! Work hard, play hard is probs the biggest one - that's a huuuge part of the culture out there. Wear comfortable shoes cuz you'll be on your feet A LOT, too. I'll let you know if I think of any more!
Great video!! Thanks!! #retirementjobs
Your funny and great video. I'll be in old faithful April housekeeping
Ooh, good luck! So excited for you!!
i’ll be in housekeeping as well. i don’t know where yet, but hopefully old faithful. looking for friends already bc i’m scared 😫
@timberbee It's definitely intimidating but if you can make it through the first 2-3 weeks, it definitely gets easier! Also download all your music playlists to your phone before you get there bc there's no internet lol 😅
I want to work there so bad! But I have too many pets so I can’t. 😔
You ever work in YNP during the winter months
What cell phone service is best up there?
I used Verizon and, at the time, I heard that they were the best provider. I would maybe take a look at their coverage map for 4G and 5G to be sure.
😯
IDK why people leave the Grand Canyon to go work Yellowstone every year. You have none of these issues there...there's internet, a town right outside the canyon and you're only an hour from Flagstaff.
Just what I was looking for is 27 to old lol silly question maybe
No! Not at all! It’s such a great experience, many seasonal jobs like these have employees ranging from ages of 18-50+
Lauren ur so beauty...
