This is 50% "horrified realization" and 50% "murderous animosity" which, fits nicely. Noelle and Berdly are realising that someone is about to die - YOU are the one pulling the murderous strings behind Kris. Perhaps there is also some terror in the background riff? If I were Kris, having the thing giving me life making me encourage my childhood friend to murder someone, I'd be pretty goddamn terrified.
this reminds me, i think my game glitched, but i'm not sure. i was doing a snowgrave route, then used iceshock on Berdly. i then killed the maus. i than tried beating spamton, but gave up and went to the Queen and Berdly fight. i loosened Berdly till his mercy was at 100%. then, Berdly ripped off the plug...? even tho i loosened it :/ did anyone else get this glitch?
fun fact: all the audio files in game are .ogg files, so technically the full filename of this one is "d.ogg". dunno if that's an intentional toby fox dog joke tho (it would seem out of character for toby to make silly jokes in a genocide-route context).
@@Lessen0 oh thats funny i did not realize that!! i just saw the title being "d" and it being a song from the genocide route and immediately thought of it being d(ie) or d(ead) loll
@@Lessen02 years later, but I'm replying to this anyway... In chapter 1, there was a file named "w.ogg" and if you play it it's just wind from when the second voice interrupts the other during the vessel creation and says "your name is..." But anyway "W" and "d"... Those can't be coincidences. If this will spell out "w.d. gaster" it'll be so hype
if you listen very carefully, you can hear a heartbeat in the very background of the song
sounds like a hearbeat with arythmia
it can be cause by shock, fright and stress
which is exactly what noelle is feeling in that scene
Speed it up by 2x and you can easily hear a heartbeat. The in-game file is also called berdly.heartbeat or something
@@person4579it’s not. That’s the battle theme, this is literally just referred to as ‘d’ or ‘d.ogg’ if we include the file format.

This also called Noelle’s realization when she realizes she must kill Berdly

noelle's realization is the song that plays after you exit rudy's hospital room after a snowgrave route

its not a glitch lmao, if you kill berdly in any of the fights, he will fry his arm
@@pyrytheburger3869 interesting. thx :)
You are not supposed to use iceshock on berdly
