He looked uncoordinated and wary for the remainder of the fight. I think draining to 135 is only gonna get worse for him. He's a massive lightweight and that cut takes soooo much out of you.

Loma is no linares. this is going to be a very easy fight for Loma, as Haney is use to jab jab right hold right hold. Every time Haney throws a lead right, he steps in to hold. Loma has seen this, and was extremely effective against Gary Russell who has a faster jab than Haney. Haney is all hold hold hold - and the ref's seem to allow it. Loma gives up the first 3 rounds and at round 4 - will start taking over, until Loma is completely taking over in the later rounds. Yea they'll excuse illegal blows over clinching to keep from getting worked on the inside (which is a common tactic in boxing). And is not illegal unless it's excessive and the ref cannot get you to stop. When he got shook, he did what he was supposed to - he held on, bought time, survived. In the following round he did more of the same until his legs were steady then went on to win that round. There is not a great fighter that has not been hit flush - that includes Money.
Great fight, Devin outclassed him but what a rally in the end by linares. Not to mention the holes Jorge exposed nailing him with several nice left hooks, id of liked to see him take advantage of haney slipping jabs to the inside with a short right hand but he couldnt find it. All in all great show.

Middle to close distance is where Lomachenko needs to be and dictate that range. Take away Haney's jab and he'll be in defensive mode the whole time.

Haney took this one 8/4 could have been more convincing I thought that Linares took up a few of the later rounds because Haney knew that he was up and played the clinch to his advantage. Those weren't clinches. A clinch tries to trap the arms till the ref calls a break. In a clinch you can fight your way out. Haney was hugging around the waist all night. When he got shook, he did what he was supposed to - he held on, bought time, survived. In the following round he did more of the same until his legs were steady then went on to win that round. Middle to close distance is where Lomachenko needs to be and dictate that range. Take away Haney's jab and he'll be in defensive mode the whole time.

Those weren't clinches. A clinch tries to trap the arms till the ref calls a break. In a clinch you can fight your way out. Haney was hugging around the waist all night.
