I know that intersection (and that Taco Bell drive-thru) well. 6th Avenue and Madison in Eugene, Oregon. 6th is four lanes wide and I will never try to cross it without a traffic light because of stuff like this.
I have found calling the trucking company and reporting a driver to be very effective. Make sure to tell them you have footage of their dangerous driver and that you're going to file a police report. Yes, done that a few times, even the white trailer with no branding other than a fleet number is traceable, just have to ask your local PD for the info. Will take a stab at the driver being Swift though.....
I have taken dozens of these calls over the years and been privy to many more. 90% of them the caller failed to understand roadway procedure and protocol. So many people have said "they refused to move over and let me merge on" describing merging onto the highway from on ramps. Part of the problem too and the clip at 6:13 initially shows this is people do not give CMVs any extra space or consideration. he had his blinker on and the driver could clearly see that he was moving over all he had to do was let off the gas for 2 seconds, gently tapped the breaks so person behind would see he was bleeding some speed and the CMV could have proceeded on that clip is also cut so who knows what went on during that cut time. Furthermore after the cut the driver is following too closely. Trucks have blind spots. obviously after that and the driver was wagging his middle finger at them and blowing his horn while pressing their lane is absolutely unacceptable.
@@MrAwsomeshot the problem was that he was in the far right lane turned his blinker on merged to the middle lane and then far left immediately after so it was the truck drivers fault for not being more careful and checking his mirrors instead of just glancing at them

2:25 Always ALWAYS get a police report with senior drivers, no matter how apologetic and remorseful they sound. They will flip their story and blame you in a blink of an eye, given the chance (nearly) EVERY TIME.
So many videos of senior drivers backing into people behind them and claiming THEY was the one running into them, also when they run a red light and crash into you they always claim it was green for them and that YOU had the red light... They are stubborn to the point that they are never wrong even when they are wrong and you must have video recording to prove your innoscense.
@@a64738 As for seniors and red or green ... sometimes (rarely?), it's not what you expect. Many years ago now, my grandma (crossing on foot) collided with a car (hospital for her). Both parties claimed they had green. At court, the general feeling seemed to be "oh, old woman, must be confused" ... until they showed her still-valid (but unused for a long time) driver's license. Hmm. So then the court proceeded to actually go to and examine the intersection in question. Turns out, they actually could both have gotten green at the same time - the traffic light setup was faulty!
What is so captivating about watching cars crashing? I always hope the best for everyone in the situation, but for some reason I always wanna watch these videos.
Well, I CAN be honest. No, I don't always hope everyone gets through it okay... Mostly I do, but not always... I can admit I LIKE seeing some moron doing something aggressive and stupid and getting himself into a mess, whether it's yeeting the whole car off the side of a mountain, skidding into the rear end of an 18-wheeler, or taking an unplanned off-road excursion to parts hither-to unknown... Those are ALWAYS satisfying... The casual examination of traffic conditions, and repeated efforts (even a sort of game out of it) to guess which vehicle's going to be the cause of trouble and how (other than assuming the cammer's at fault, which is a growing majority) has helped me refine my own skills at observation on the road and made most of my road trips and commuting MUCH easier and safer... AND at least occasionally, it's entertaining as hell to trawl through the comments for those cammers who drive so excessively TO CREATE CONTENT and add my own two cents to the dogpile that is growingly popular in these things... ALL IN ALL... quite a satisfying way to spend a fair chunk of my evenings between sharpening my skills for the road, my wit in the dubious confines of "Acceptable English Linquistics" according to YT, and typing practice... along with some degree of poetic justice!!! At LEAST a 9/10 and highly recommend!!! ;o)
Any truck driver doing anything remotely road-rage like should have their license revoked, period. Dude at 7:15 shouldnt be driving a commercial truck. Too bad they hire any wife-beating moron that comes in the door these days.
The cammer in that video was at fault though at the start. If you see a truck moving like that and you continue at your speed, it's your fault if they crush you. They don't have the visibility that you would have in a small car
@@kaylapounds1359 it depends on how many lanes you can turn from, and how many you can turn into, length of the trailer plays the largest part. Always safest to swing wide, better to take up some real estate than look stupid trying to back up.
They destroyed trucking as a career years ago. mostly immigrants now and dei. So you have a LOT of drivers that just don't care, or aren't even capable. Kinda reminds me of, and this was decades ago, a community college I went to raised their degree requirements for professors. Well, many of them were like "I can make more money for less work in the real world" so they left, and the only ones that stayed were the ones not employable in the real world. That's one of the ways you lose quality by raising standards. High functioning people have a LOT of options.
This is a separate post because youtube usually deletes this one. A police department got sued for discrimination once because they refused to hire a guy who scored too high on their eye queue test. He lost so the policy stood.
8:11 never sit in the area between the gates, on multiple tracks another train can come and everyone's day gets harder. Railroad companies would rather you smash through the gate causing them to have to repair the armature, than replacing what can be after a train smashes a car. Those arms are made of aluminum and fiberglass, held into the armature but brass shear pins that are meant to break and let the arm go if enough sideways force is applied. Break the gate instead of getting hit. These get replaced regularly by the RR because of bad drivers. Cheaper than lawsuits.
Animal Jam Music this is a myth. It takes 1 mile under normal braking. In emergency braking it’s much less but does cause damage to wheels and cargo most likely might be damaged as well.
@@gregrowe1168 That's probably why they don't stop "on a dime" and let it go the extra mile. 1 less train and i'd imagine it would be the same as the trash company cutting it's force by 10%.

0:15 I know exactly where that is. White car didn't run a light, as there's no light there. It's at the next intersection in the direction the white car was headed. The street the black Jeep is a side street that has a stop sign and has to wait for the main street the white car is on to be clear. That doesn't happen to often, so I imagine the black Jeep was tired of waiting and took a risky shot that didn't pay off. Jeep was at fault here.

I'm sure it was terrifying in the moment...but I have to say, I giggled at the comedic timing with the GPS saying to make the right turn and the other car deciding suddenly to go to the right.
Depends on the state. In mine, there is no law against it. That doesn't mean it's a safe thing tho. Despite this, I myself drive / bike with both buds in (older car). I have exceptions and rules for it, though (like windows will be rolled down).

Thats what I thought too. I couldn't see any streetlight poles! But I can see where the person writing the description might have thought it was a red light because the one car on the right side of the screen stops but I think they may have been stopping for the pedestrian biking, not a stop light. Not too sure about that other stuff but definitely certain that the jeep is at fault.
The Jeep might have saved the stupid cyclist, though! Definitely a screw up by the Jeep. I think the other car stopping messed everyone up thinking they're being nice.
This is in Eugene OR I have been through that intersection and there is a stop sign (where the jeep was) because traffic (where the Tesla was going) doesn’t stop. So in short the jeep blew the stop sign.
@@nickh5081 - cyclist wasn’t stupid here. There’s a dip in the curb. He’s using a crosswalk. If it’s anything like where I’m at, drivers can’t see crosswalk signs and think pedestrians yield to vehicles.

I’ve had a motorcycle friend tell me that this at 10:25 can be a safety precaution to not get rear ended into the back of somebody else’s car when the chances of someone not seeing you are greater. Whether it be time of day, weather conditions, or a long windy road that obscures an intersection.
Correct, similarly why you might pull in front when you could have happily sat between lanes (in allowing states). I do this depending on how aware I think surrounding drivers are. One thing people fail to understand about “police jurisdiction” is that it doesn’t matter if the police officer is driving in a different county, they still have the diligent duty to pull someone who is being reckless/breaking the law over. The issue comes when/if they are going to detain or arrest the person they are pulling. They will have to call into dispatch to request that an officer from that jurisdiction shows and finishes the investigation. You’re still gonna get caught!!

did you learn this the hard way ?
What is so captivating about watching cars crashing? I always hope the best for everyone in the situation, but for some reason I always wanna watch these videos.
Honestly, because I drive for my job, it's helped me to be more observant and defensive watching what these idiots are capable of 🙏
I was involved in a car accident five years ago, it was my fault unfortunately. That is how I started watching car crashing videos.
I agree, somehow I just need a daily dose of these for some reason. I, too, hope no one is seriously hurt and want everyone to be ok
It's the best way to figure out which creatures should be eradicated, and which ones know how to drive properly.

Good way to lose a good paying job.
@@OathofthePeachGarden Definitely prevents any future problems from that trucker.
The cammer in that video was at fault though at the start. If you see a truck moving like that and you continue at your speed, it's your fault if they crush you. They don't have the visibility that you would have in a small car
It's extremely frustrating driving a commercial truck, but we're called "professional drivers", too bad not all of us act like it.
I'm just curious, how come some truck drivers can make wide turns recently and others take up every lane?
My heart jumped at 8:54. I hope that officer was ok after that head on collision.
Yeah he was
I'm sure they were. That looked like an intentional effort to stop a dangerous driver, something they are trained to do.
It also takes the train itself to stop 1 mile after the accident.

Yes, total fail on that accident description. Absolutely the Jeep's fault.

Correct, similarly why you might pull in front when you could have happily sat between lanes (in allowing states). I do this depending on how aware I think surrounding drivers are.
Between seeing the jeep drive the shoulder, the tesla run the red, and no one even pointed out the blue Toyota doing a triple lane change with no blinker into a left turn on red - I think I'd seek cover too.
Filtering should be legal in all 50 states. Screw the entitled drivers who think of it as cutting in line. It's safer for the bikers and faster for everybody to just let them go first. I can understand being against lane-splitting at speed, but there's no real argument against filtering.

1:00 that park police is a gigga chad for making the other driver scared poop his pants LOLL
6:58 Sure, flip someone off after nearly just potentially killing them. That makes sense.
I honestly hope people who do that, if you’re “at work”, get fired. Especially the one after that. Get help with your anger. It’s not worth stalling traffic to berate someone.
Golden Rule: USE YOUR BLINKERS AND OBEY THE TRAFFIC LAWS! Look everywhere and pay attention.
a fear of mine is getting into such a crash but i can’t stop watching these for some reason
5:41 really 🤨
why does he sound like a looney toons character the way he says it too
Every time I watch Dashcam Nation I think about selling my motorcycle.
1:41 why did the Blue car let that silver SUV pull out of the parking lot? This is why people get T-Boned or Rear-ended. Stop letting Cars pull out across a 4 lane.
FACTS!!! It's not nice to be courteous. Just drive, and let the other drivers worry about their situation.
6:59 not even that type of person but thats a quick fade right there
The crash with the police car at 9:00 is actually even more scary, that was a k-9 unit vehicle and in the audio from the officer you can hear him immediately check on his dog just a second after tho collision, both were not seriously harmed
sounds like the cop's fault for putting the dog in danger in the first place bruh
@@poochy2479 also fun fact, alot of police dogs die of heat exhaustion cause cops will often lock them in the car
@@syndrette not big surprise, cops do love to just cause deadly harm to everyone and everything around them 24/7 lmao
@@poochy2479 That's what I thought too. And totaling two cars just to stop the thief is all stupid.
0:15 - There is no red light. The Jeep went across in front of traffic when they had a stop sign.
6:09 what did you think that blinking light meant... where was the truck supposed to go? Maybe if that was a really fast car and the driver floored it but hey, it's not a racetrack and it's best just to get home
He's supposed to stay in his own lane until traffic is clear. You YIELD to traffic when merging.
@@mattz1230 if you’ve ever actually driven any large vehicle you would know that he’s not seeing that vehicle coming from that far away at those speeds. the driver should’ve noticed the turn signal and have been ready to yield if the truck was coming into his lane truck drivers aren’t some magical beings who can see everything around them.
@@mattz1230 you do realize the truck takes like 30 seconds to accelerate to 50 mph from a dead stop... so you want the truck to hold up everyone behind it for what... Hours? that too can cause an accident... there is no breaks in traffic, but 80,000 pounds of weight prevails. if you want to take your chances messing with a vehicle that big be my guest ... i will read and wonder why in the obituaries
@@toyyoda3710 No, the vehicles behind can go around. It's a three lane road. And he should be ACCELERATING in his lane, so that he can MERGE AT THE SPEED OF THE TRAFFIC.
If you want to be trucker in court for killing someone because you broke the law like he did- go for it, fool.
@@younginkd NO FOOL. Traffic that is continuing in the lane is NOT required to yield to merging traffic.
Your turn signal does not give right of way. It's a signal of intention, not a signal of get out of my way.
Second, you can't cross multiple lanes of traffic. You merge into one, then wait and merge into the other. Even a defensive driver is not going to anticipate the trucker breaking the law and crossing multiple lanes.
Not being able to see is NOT an excuse. Trucks are required to merge the same as cars- yielding to all traffic in the lane they're entering.
YOU LOSE, FOOL.
Sometimes I feel like a bad driver but after watching these I don’t feel as bad 😂
5:15 4th wall break lol
2:03 driving with headphones in has to be the dumbest move.
5:09 That would not be my first thought but she right 😂
at least she thanked me for not killing us first lmfao
Bruh Tbf it was quite the overreaction
"That should go in an idiots in cars compilation" welcome to the comp, kid
8:54
i hope
the cops are well
and unharmed
Fun fact, 40% percent of cops get into car accidents. It's true, look up "40% of cops"
THE FAMILY GUY REFERENCE AT 5:16 GOT ME
:44. Stop traveling in the left lane. 3:55 You probably had your turn signal on before that intersection, so they went.
There’s only one lane not 2 lmao
"Breaks"? Brakes, ffs
The piece at 4:44 is Capriccio Italien by Tchaikovski.
4:16 All that space and the BMW still manages to run into you.
6:15 why would you speed up? that was a dumb move
1:45 bro’s sunglasses rocketed off him ☠️☠️☠️
9:46 kinda the drivers fault he should've got over
thats what im sayin bro. U gotta check the merge lane and if u see a big semi coming at the same rate of speed as u, u should get over
Are you kidding me why are all you people defending the truck you’re so blind. The cammer couldn’t move into the other lane because there’s a car in that lane. The semi decides “oh shit I can’t read signs the lane ends I’ll just merge now”
