What was the orange silicone type stuff you removed from the backing plates? I assume it's not necessary as I didn't see you apply any to the replacements.
Good video, but not all Prado rear rotors come off that easy! I've had to back off the handbrake adjuster through the hole in the rotor before it would come off
I have a cracking noise in the rear wheel of my Prado (2004). I changed the bearings but still there. It usually comes after driving for a few minutes and when I press the brake your don't hear it anymore. Do you think that if there is a steel plate or clip missing from inside the caliper this may cause this noise? And is so, where can I buy the steel plates? Thanks in advance
“maximum helpage” - very helpful and educational - thanks a million !
Great stuff mate and you know us so well, we like to polish. As usual I watch till the end.
My car failed its MOT on the handbrake brake, thanks for taking the time to show us how to adjust - really helpful
