Spettacolo!!! Lavoro eccezionale. Colore bellissimo e finiture da veri maestri della carrozzeria. La Taycan è già una macchina stupenda con i colori Porsche, ma così è davvero fantastica. Davvero complimenti
Hey! It depends on what the surface is made of, but unless it’s aerosol painted, it can be sprayed over most over surfaces no problem! On some surfaces (like plastic and rubber), it won’t be easily removable as on OEM clear-coated paint, but it can definitely be done if you don’t necessarily care to be able to fully remove it in the future :)
@@rosecitydip Yeah, it's the black textured ABS cladding around the lower part of a Polestar 2. I wouldn't mind a semi-permanent solution, but most body shops don't want to paint it body color, they can't guarantee it will last. Thank you!
@@surturiel gotcha! In that case, we could do that no problem as long as our OEM pigment supplier has the ability to make that color code in their system!
Just read that this is only a wrap, not paint! In this case, it’s a great job and explains why trim pieces weren’t removed and the door jams were left naked. Not for me, but neat color and will be like having a new car when the decision is made to remove the wrap.
Spraying that car, in that colour, is like putting a roofrack on a Ferrari........pure sacrilege.!!!!! i would never dream of doing that to my 911......good skills, chavy result.
Might not be for you, but everyone’s entitled to their own style, and it’s all removable paint/wrap buddy, so it protects the factory paint and will peel off safely when the time comes to change up the look. Don’t worry, I didn’t use permanent paint on a Taycan.
I actually like it better, than the original color. That orange is seen on targa models aswell, nice with black rims and all! Personally I think the taycan is one of the ugliest porsche models.
Yes door jams typically stay the OEM color. There’s a few scenes that show the jams in the video, but basically a hard line similar to what vinyl wrap would look like :)
It's called a Spudger and is one of the most important tools in our shop, haha. Luckily very cheap and can be found at the link below. www.dipyourcar.com/products/spudger-tool?variant=5631600964
very good, clean and meticulous job. I like the color, still kind of subtle for an orange...I personally would have opted for a different caliper color to go with the orange...something darker and more contrasting...more power to you
It was definitely acceptable for the customer! It can also be flow-coated for a more show-quality finish if desired. More info on that process can be found on the intro video on our channel :)
It's called a "Spudger" and is probably our most useful every-day tool, haha. Can be purchased here: www.dipyourcar.com/products/spudger-tool?variant=5631600964
This is a spray-on wrap that has many features not possible with vinyl. See our intro video for more info you you’d like to know more reasons why one might choose this instead.
Now please make a video on how to peel this horrible thing (imo) and get it back to a nice car :-) The good thing though is I didn't know such paint exists, I learned something, thank you!
Thanks for your dumb (imo) comment! Check out our intro video (first video on our channel) for some clips of peeling AutoFlex, where you’ll see some shots of it peeling cleanly without any damage to the paint underneath! 👍🏼
Masking tape doesn’t replace doing it the right way and taking off parts to completely prevent over spray and painting to achieve a OEM look and quality. Using tape is simply the lazy way you use when you paint a Honda Civic 😏
Lol, didn’t ruin anything bud. If you look into any information at all whatsoever, you’d see that it’s a fully removable coating that’s actually protecting the paint underneath while providing a fun color change for a period at maybe 20% of the cost and time of a full paint job 🤙🏼
@@davidpettit6749 agree with it being peelable and giving some protection. It will take quite a bit of effort I'm sure to apply and remove. Maybe I'm old school if you like it than that is what counts!
This isn’t a paint job, it’s a removable liquid wrap. We’ve done hundreds of full cars with this type of product and similar prep and have had hardly any issues at all that could have been remedied by taking everything apart.
Haha, didn’t ruin anything buddy. It’s a removable (and actually highly effective protective) coating that can be taken off at any time leaving the paint underneath in the same condition it was before. Check out our more recent removal video where we actually completely remove this exact install :)
Awesome Bro. Best part about this business, it will be around for eternity.
BEAUTIFUL
Thank you! 🙏
Not bad but the original looked wayyyy better
Have to agree
Looks terrible now
The design details are gone now. Just a painted car.
So amazing to see the tape applied. This is the detail work that make the paint job perfect. It is pain staking work with accuracy. Congrats
Thank you! 🙏
So satisfying to watch the tape being peeled off afterwards 😂 I wondered how you would handle the caliper decals. Cool!
Haha glad you enjoyed it! 😁
Really nice job. I like this color.
WOW… ❤ THATS AMAZING
Thank you!
Nice prep and paint work guys. Love the colour. Thanks for sharing. Be well

excellent work in my opinion I left the original painting and wrapped the car in the color you painted but they are tastes, it was top.
Thanks! It is actually a spray-on wrap, so it will protect the paint and be fully removable later on!
Amazing. Very clean👍
Thank you!
Great work, Not sure I would get that color but still; good job!
Thanks!
Brilliant job lads

Amazing job and outcome! I'm so jealous of your skills! I need to step my dipping game up

No sure I would paint it in this color. Love the color but would wrap it instead to keep the car oem.

That car has been destroyed; that is NOT how you correctly prep and paint a prestige car like that.
Actually it’s been protected with 10+ mils of material all around. It’s not a permanent paint job, it’s a removable liquid/spray wrap.
