Wesley's pieces always have a beautiful cinematic quality to them. I couldn't help wondering if Wesley was directing the shots before they were taken or if he just told Chris to follow him and they came out that way. It reminded me of an old Wong Fu behind the scenes or something where they were near a garden and the three of them were taking single shots with a camera (was it scouting a location?). The shots were so artistic. Took me back to when the three of them were starting out. I'm probably the only one who thinks about Ted and wonders if we'll ever get a surprise cameo in the future.
I live in Japan and I forgot Wes’ surname is Chan, so I thought Benson was saying Bolo-chan (little Bolo)😊 She is a cutie anyways! Benson and Wes have a lot in common! The Brian, Benson and Wesley siblings/cousins names and the love for yorkies❤️
I really can’t describe how nice it is to hear Cantonese being spoken. I rarely ever hear it outside of my family and Wes’ accent is so similar to mine (the ABC is strong) that it is really comforting and amazing to hear someone so accomplished speaking it.
@Alethia Chan Yes, I also am ecstatic when I hear Cantonese, + the parade song was in Cantonese. I like Wes the most, because he is Cantonese, like us. Also, both Mom + Bolo are uber-cute.
@@penname8441 same to hear someone that's not my family speak Cantonese is comforting. I live 2 hours or so from SF, my area has Asians but not many Chinese. I have never met someone my age that is a Cantonese speaker.

It's been said but it's that uniquely shot that it is worth repeating: the cinematography is beautiful! For a moment I forgot that it was a Wong Fu Whatever because of how ethereal and surreal it felt.
Even though this is a Ad, this was so heartwarming to watch. I grew up watching wongfu and as I'm growing older, the resources for Cantonese movies or shows are scarce now. I find myself constantly going to places just so i can hear people speaking it to bring me closer as my Cantonese is broken. I definitely miss every interaction with my family, I love this!!!
Thanks Wes for this episode! I am a Malaysian Chinese, with daughters educated in Canada & England. I will send them both this recording, so that the warmth of CNY will always be with them wherever they are. This video shows the filial family part of you, which is so heartwarming. The nature settings emphasises the warmness of family togetherness. And the fact that Bolo only comprehends Cantonese makes the whole thing sp poignant. Thanks for this invoking of warm memories that for my family will continue with generations to come. As Chinese, we should always remember our roots! All the best to you, Taylor, Jen, Benson and the rest of the crew in Wongfu Production! Belated GONG XI FA CAI from here in Malaysia!
I think, this video in itself was a huge wake up call and somewhat emotional for something that’s considered to be on the “second channel”. Just seeing a mother and son relationship warms my heart because you can see how much Wes’s mom is excited to see him. Even though it was probably what seemed like 2 days. Such a heartwarming video and cheers to the most simple, but heartwarming moments!
Very touching! I actually think having episodes dedicated to individual members of the WF team like this one would make for really great content. Keep up the great work
The way this was shot, narrated and the pace of the whole video was something I personally love to see in media. Although fast paced media is also entertaining this type of content makes you feel very fuzzy and it takes you on a journey which you can never forget. Thank you for making this.
Awww it’s really nice to see your Asian American household. It’s so nice to see another first generation Cantonese family’s home :) so heartwarming cause it just feels so familiar
My mother passed away 3 years ago to a rare form of lung cancer that affects non-smoking Asian women and watching this video really got to me. Alot of emotions i felt thru the scenes as you grow older you cherish the simple things and time you have with your parents cause you cant take it back, spend as much time with your loved ones, tell them you love them everyday. Love this episode i felt it in my heart and soul.
I love Wes and his mum relationship. It's so beautiful and there's something about the two of them spending time together is precious and pure which relates to the feeling of 'home. It warms my heart ☺
Bolo is so well behaved! Your mom takes such good care of him. Love your relationship with your mom. It's so sweet. She must be so proud of you. ❤️ Also, LOVE hearing you speak Cantonese!

I had to emotionally prepare myself knowing that this was going to be such a sentimental video, but I was not prepared for just how humble his home life is and I think this video just captured it beautifully - Thank you Wong Fu for always giving us amazing content.

Wes has always been my favourite since a long time ago. Been away from their channel for almost 2 years but this viseo brought me back again...a bit like homecoming 😍🥰

When Wes said Bolo only understand Cantonese no English, it's remind me Eric Nam said "Your dog speaks Chinese!!!" To Amber 😂😂
Hidayati Haji Bidin I love that I know this reference.
