    I don’t understand why they wouldn’t have gotten ortho treatment to bring down that one tooth, I believe Invisalign is capable of achieving the look they wanted without destroying the natural tooth. Can never bring that enamel back, so upsetting to see. Are patients given all of their options upfront or just a quick and easy recommendation? I would never get veneers if my teeth were healthy.
    Overall, the work here looks great - but I don’t think it was needed.

      What enamel? Buccal side was made of composite. Invisalign can't bring a tooth downward, you need brackets for that. A Crown or maybe a veneer (emax) was the best treatment in this case

    Hey doctor ....
    Its completely pleasant to eyes everytime we see your work...
    One huge and major doubt i always have since i have seen your this particular video .... at 12:08 what have you done ... have your given temp and wait for a while and after removal you got that beautiful emergence profile or you have used sonicflex to prep that .... i mean that 12:08 papilla and surrounding gingiva how have you achieved?? Is it after sometime or is it just a sonic flex preparation...???
    Please please reply and if its just with the temporary so what else can we say that will be a huge success...!

    • @stefanolombardodentaltrain8912
      @stefanolombardodentaltrain8912  2 года назад +3

      Thank you dear colleague!
      The shape of the soft tissues is absolutely thanks to the provisional! Regardless of the type of preparation and its traumatic nature, after a few weeks the gingiva is simply the shape of the mirror polished temporary you inserted! Of course, you don't have to invade biological width! So if you prepare horizontal, as in this video, you have to be careful not to go too deep in the interproximal areas! If you prepare vertical, remove the anatomical component of the CEJ and arrive at the root, you can obtain the same gingival result, as long as you model the provisional at the right distance from the bone crest ... always respecting the supra-crestal attachment system (BOPT technique)

    • @ПетърВасилев-в4ы
      @ПетърВасилев-в4ы 2 года назад +1

      I think that with the round burr you can only go 1/2 of the full diameter inside sound tooth structure. So if you know the diameter divide it by 2 and you get the reduction: the burr is 1.6mm in diameter so you will get 1/2 of the diameter - 0.8mm reduction.

Any lateral forces will snap what's left of that tooth off in no time, it being a front tooth, it'll experience lateral forces everyday. What am I missing here?

      I understand that you're not a proffessional. The tooth has a filling already on the outside surface so less natural tooth structure was lost than you might think. A veneer could have been sufficient but it's not possible to say, as we don't know completely what the initial situation was.

    • @williamk.teenjr.7942
      @williamk.teenjr.7942 2 месяца назад

      @@asshrapnel4656 A veneer would not have provided a 360 degree ferrule, as he did here with a crown. Since so much natural tooth was missing, this is necessary or the veneer and composite might fail together. A crown done this well restores the tooth, does not ruin it as some have said, and I am sure you agree.

      Not a single prosthodontist worth his salt uses turbine for tooth preparation.
