Look she might think you are not an expert in paper quality!, but she is not an expert in drawing in my opinion!!, her books should be printed on toilet paper. You are not going to lose any followers, we respect your opinion, and love for creating and enjoying your passion. I'm so so sorry that you had to go through this!!! I was literally fighting back tears listening to you get emotional. I thought your last video was very informational and in no way was attacking or coming for artists who use Amazon. As someone who publishes with Amazon's KDP, I can safely say there is only one type of paper to pick from (yes, you can pick between white or cream paper, but not paper weight). Now, you can pick a "glossy" finish to the paper (which I believe the artist Christine Karron does), but the tooth and paper weight is the same. Please keep doing videos how you like! And please please let us know when your coloring book is available!!

I have been a fan of Anne Manera's books for a while, and in my experience she is a lovely, down to earth person who is very non judgemental and who always has time for her fans. I have never bought a Debra Muller book, and I certainly wont be buying any in the future.
One of the worst problems with people commenting online is that people tend to way overplay their perspective. They don't temper their wording and it quickly comes across as an insult of schoolyard variety. You be you, we're here for you, not even the comments. Like you said, the hobby should make you happy.
Necee so sorry that you had to experience this!! I was wondering why you left....now I know! You're so right it's hard being a content creator for this coloring thing!! We are all entitled to our opinions on paper, art supplies, etc. I've never liked Createspace or Amazon paper....whatever it's called now! So many colortubers express this and apparently illustrators are watching these videos and just won't listen to colorists regarding the paper. To me, this is an opportunity for the illustrator to find ways to give their "fans" or colorists what they want. I've always said I'd pay more for better paper like in the hardback coloring books! Not everyone will agree but that's just my thoughts! I've received bad comments and stuff too.....I call them HATERS!! HATERS ARE GONNA HATE!! Let them hate while you continue to shine!!! Awww, Necee, my heart goes out to you. There is a proper way and an improper way to come across when making a comment and pointing something out to somebody. You got an example of each. I’m so glad that Ann Manera basically said the same thing as Debra Mueller, only the proper way. As a fellow color tuber/creator, I can relate to how badly some people can come across in their comments. Some are downright mean. And, like you, I try to have a thick skin when it comes to those negative comments but it’s really hard. Some days harder than others. As you stated, RUclips is not our entire lives and we have other things going on at the same time. Please keep your chin up and making your great videos. I only commented because I've heard quite a few RUclipsrs claim Creative Haven books are published by Amazon. While I don't care for Dover's CH paper, I feel like the other RUclipsrs hurt Dover's reputation by making such non-researched claims. Many viewers believe everything their RUclipsrs tell them, and do not investigate on their own. Dover publishes all manner of books, and has been around a lot longer than Amazon. I'll also admit I didn't watch all they through, because the audio dropped out on my device. I dually apologize for that. I'm very sorry, my dear. I personally appreciate your videos. You give your honest opinions, without tearing something totally down. You give both pros and cons. You obviously do research on a lot of things, and give balanced reviews. You also have some of the most original content on RUclips for colorists. You do not simply recycle other people's ideas and techniques. I do not watch haul videos anybody posts any more, but I usually see what you have to say in other video types (as time permits). I do not have hundreds of dollars to spend on books and supplies every month, like a lot of colorist do. I also don't have much space (and cannot have many more supplies), so I skip everyone's hauls. Anytime you get involved in a hobby that has an online community you want to be part of, they're will be cliques and ugly behavior. It's human nature. Some people aren't happy, unless they're tearing other people apart. If that kind of bullying is going on, consider reporting it to Facebook, RUclips, or the authorities on whatever platform you're using. You have just as much right to enjoy those platforms as the popular published artists. Since getting online in the late 90s, I've been involved in at least three hobbies worth of online "communities" that supported them. They all had the same nasty dark side, where some people delight in hurting anybody they didn't like. That's one reason I don't interact with the adult coloring community as much as I could. I'm too old for kindergarten nonsense surrounding a hobby. I've seen all the online "community" ugliness too many times before, and those hobbies were things I enjoyed much more than adult coloring. Sadly, I can't do those things any more. So I only have coloring now, something I did long before it was trendy. I'll never be a member of the cool clique, so I mostly like to gather information. As far as RUclips and videos. Do it when, and as long, as you enjoy it. For most people, life is too short to keep plodding along at a hobby, or anything else, they no longer enjoy. Do it for yourself, not likes, favorites, badges, ratings, and so on. I'm glad you're going to stretch yourself and publish, if that's if a goal in your bucket list. May you have all the success in the world, dear.

I'm so sorry you had to deal with this. Clearly the PAPER could have changed over the years or could have been printed differently. Even I could tell a different in the paper. Even if its (one type of paper), it could STILL be printed differently. It could have different textures. I agree with you Necee!

You are gonna do great. Personally I scan and print out all my pages on paper I pick myself, that way I know what to expect (though mostly it’s in case I mess up and wanna try again 😉)

Hi there, I watch your videos but rarely comment, though I felt the need to, this time…I’ve enjoyed every video that you’ve put out…you have a great way of explaining things and a lovely voice…When you do a review you are giving your opinion, and those of us who watch your videos appreciate them, be they good or bad, for the product…Every single one of us realize the Amazon paper is certainly not the best quality paper, and we know that when we buy a book with this kind of paper, that we can print off a page onto better paper if we choose, so it doesn’t stop us from purchasing the book…The colouring book authors should know this and they should try to be more neutral, when making a comment to a reviewer, because sometimes their attitude and intentions could hurt them more than the “bad” paper… My dear, you just keep doing what you’re doing, and know that you have an entire community behind you..Sending love and support❤️😘❤️
It is now 2 days since you posted this. I'm kinda slow at getting to everyone's video. I hope by now you've been able to dry your tears as the Holy One has been working on mending your broken heart and mind. You presented your best educated opinion. No can expect you to do more. I personally like to color realistic, natural images. I wouldn't touch any of the books your hands are resting upon or probably 99.9% of the coloring books sold on Amazon so the Amazon printed paper quality doesn't really affect me very much. Paper quality in coloring book is so varied and personal success with a picture requires matching the right pencil to each book. We live and learn. 🎨♿👵Barb N.

Stumbled upon your channel while doing a youtube search. This is the 2nd video I watched. Broke my heart Lady. Look, I seldom read people's comments. I leave some occasionally to encourage the RUclipsr or let them know how cool I thought it was etc. There are just going to be people out there that are going to be mean and say mean things no matter what. It takes courage to do what you do! Something I instilled in my daughters growing up is, "At the end of the day as long as you can lay your head on your pillow at night knowing you did the BEST job possible, that's all that matters." There is ALWAYS going to be someone who doesn't like it and makes a point to criticize it. YOU DO YOU! Keep doing what you're doing!!

Necee I didn’t watch your last video. But I have to agree that the paper between books are different. Perhaps the paper quality has changed over the years as the other author said. This is YOUR journey and we are all learning here together. I also thought the paper was different and most of us did. In fact there was an artist who even said in her amazon printed book a message that she wrote I listened to all your comments and I choose the paper that is the best seen the two choices and that’s the most that I can do. I can go through the books and try and find it. We all are human and don’t worry, we all fall down and we all cry it’s ok to cry sometimes and we love you

It is a shame that you cannot post videos or have an opinion these days on your own channel. I had a lady, not sure if she was a subscriber or not, ask why I had my cash app info in my comment sections on my video. And that she never seen anything like that, and that I shouldn’t have that there and ask for donations just because I do coloring tutorials. I just laughed it off for now, because I know others who post their cash app and other things such as Amazon list, kofi pages, patreons etc. and I NEVER ask for anything in exchange for my videos but it’s there because I’ve had others ask how they can support. It’s no different then me posting patreon info like everyone else. Ppl can really make you feel like not doing RUclips videos with their nasty comments. You know what... I know that you're doing the best you can, when you give your reviews. That's why I still watch you. Heck, I still haven't done my full RUclips review on those Shuttle art pencils, cause I'm having issues with my editing software. I'm stil trying to put up videos of music and roller skating... for that Karen to go after you like that... I don't think that's misinformation at all. She's an artist, that just needs to learn communication skills. Some artists are the worst at communicating, that's why they draw pictures of animals, so they have an outlet to vent. I feel ya…kinda. Had a crazy homeless guy stalking through my videos for a while calling me names and calling me a liar..making some threats. All started with a video for a kid’s metal detector that worked fine but I didn’t flat out say it was for kids and he was expecting a professional metal detector for $75. Got me off here for about a month until he deleted all his comments and moved on with his life.
I hate to hear you upset when you always are so upbeat & cheerful & I love hearing you talk! 1st of all, I have learned not to question myself when I think I'm being thin skinned. Your feeling are valid no matter what anyone else thinks!! So when this artist commented now & previously I'm guessing that she thinks your opinions will hurt her business & I really don't think that is the case. You're totally allowed to your opinion, as am I!! I happen to enjoy coloring mermaids & have several of her books. I do not care for the creepy, gross books but some people love them. It's ok. If I'd seen your video where you said you didn't like mermaids, I wouldn't have thought, omg I'm never buying a DM mermaid book again!! She must think you are pretty powerful to be intimated by your opinion!! Also, sorry so long, I have been telling my husband for 30 years, it's not always WHAT you say, but HOW you say it. What was said could have been articulated in a way that was kinder but apparently you got her panties in a bunch. Tbh, it reflects more negatively on her, not you!! I think these types of comments should be made privately, & then if you feel something you said needs to be changed, you could just put out another video. However, hearing something someone said privately made you leave RUclips is very upsetting, especially since it was an opinion!! I'm glad you have come back & I enjoy your videos! And yes, not all the books you review are my cup of tea but that's okay!! It's not like you called anything stupid, ugly or badly drawn!!!

We all know that the papers in the many Amazon printed books we own feel different at times and our tools color differently on them. So the words you spoke are true that is my conclusion! You don’t work that way, & I appreciate. Also appreciate your reviews. There is a way to advise that a certain drawing / art style or coloring product isn’t a good fit, while it may be for others. The truth if you want people to really afford your books and sell a lot of volume they will use that so they can sell their books more affordability. The truth is you can really use any paper and make a picture beautiful. Dede Willingham is one of them and are says she likes the challenge. Please don’t feel so bad. Look she might think you are not an expert in paper quality!, but she is not an expert in drawing in my opinion!!, her books should be printed on toilet paper. You are not going to lose any followers, we respect your opinion, and love for creating and enjoying your passion. I'm so so sorry that you had to go through this!!! I was literally fighting back tears listening to you get emotional. I thought your last video was very informational and in no way was attacking or coming for artists who use Amazon. As someone who publishes with Amazon's KDP, I can safely say there is only one type of paper to pick from (yes, you can pick between white or cream paper, but not paper weight). Now, you can pick a "glossy" finish to the paper (which I believe the artist Christine Karron does), but the tooth and paper weight is the same. Please keep doing videos how you like! And please please let us know when your coloring book is available!!

I have been a fan of Anne Manera's books for a while, and in my experience she is a lovely, down to earth person who is very non judgemental and who always has time for her fans. I have never bought a Debra Muller book, and I certainly wont be buying any in the future.
One of the worst problems with people commenting online is that people tend to way overplay their perspective. They don't temper their wording and it quickly comes across as an insult of schoolyard variety. You be you, we're here for you, not even the comments. Like you said, the hobby should make you happy.
Necee so sorry that you had to experience this!! I was wondering why you left....now I know! You're so right it's hard being a content creator for this coloring thing!! We are all entitled to our opinions on paper, art supplies, etc. I've never liked Createspace or Amazon paper....whatever it's called now! So many colortubers express this and apparently illustrators are watching these videos and just won't listen to colorists regarding the paper. To me, this is an opportunity for the illustrator to find ways to give their "fans" or colorists what they want. I've always said I'd pay more for better paper like in the hardback coloring books! Not everyone will agree but that's just my thoughts! I've received bad comments and stuff too.....I call

Awww, Necee, my heart goes out to you. There is a proper way and an improper way to come across when making a comment and pointing something out to somebody. You got an example of each. I’m so glad that Ann Manera basically said the same thing as Debra Mueller, only the proper way. As a fellow color tuber/creator, I can relate to how badly some people can come across in their comments. Some are downright mean. And, like you, I try to have a thick skin when it comes to those negative comments but it’s really hard. Some days harder than others. As you stated, RUclips is not our entire lives and we have other things going on at the same time. Please keep your chin up and making your great videos. I am so looking forward to your coloring book when you come out with it. Are we going to get sneak peeks at all? LOL.

I hope the comment that I left didn't cause you sorrow. If it did, I whole-heartedly apologize. I only commented because I've heard quite a few RUclipsrs claim Creative Haven books are published by Amazon. While I don't care for Dover's CH paper, I feel like the other RUclipsrs hurt Dover's reputation by making such non-researched claims. Many viewers believe everything their RUclipsrs tell them, and do not investigate on their own. Dover publishes all manner of books, and has been around a lot longer than Amazon. I'll also admit I didn't watch all they through, because the audio dropped out on my device. I dually apologize for that. I'm very sorry, my dear.
I personally appreciate your videos. You give your honest opinions, without tearing something totally down. You give both pros and cons. You obviously do research on a lot of things, and give balanced reviews. You also have some of the most original content on RUclips for colorists. You do not simply recycle other people's ideas and techniques. I do not watch haul videos anybody posts any more, but I usually see what you have to say in other video types (as time permits). I do not have hundreds of dollars to spend on books and supplies every month, like a lot of colorist do. I also don't have much space (and cannot have many more supplies), so I skip everyone's hauls.
Anytime you get involved in a hobby that has an online community you want to be part of, they're will be cliques and ugly behavior. It's human nature. Some people aren't happy, unless they're tearing other people apart. If that kind of bullying is going on, consider reporting it to Facebook, RUclips, or the authorities on whatever platform you're using. You have just as much right to enjoy those platforms as the popular published artists. Since getting online in the late 90s, I've been involved in at least three hobbies worth of online "communities" that supported them. They all had the same nasty dark side, where some people delight in hurting anybody they didn't like. That's one reason I don't interact with the adult coloring community as much as I could. I'm too old for kindergarten nonsense surrounding a hobby. I've seen all the online "community" ugliness too many times before, and those hobbies were things I enjoyed much more than adult coloring. Sadly, I can't do those things any more. So I only have coloring now, something I did long before it was trendy. I'll never be a member of the cool clique, so I mostly like to gather information.
As far as RUclips and videos. Do it when, and as long, as you enjoy it. For most people, life is too short to keep plodding along at a hobby, or anything else, they no longer enjoy. Do it for yourself, not likes, favorites, badges, ratings, and so on.
I'm glad you're going to stretch yourself and publish, if that's if a goal in your bucket list. May you have all the success in the world, dear.

Even if its (one type of paper), it could STILL be printed differently. It could have different textures. I agree with you Necee!

You are gonna do great. Personally I scan and print out all my pages on paper I pick myself, that way I know what to expect (though mostly it’s in case I mess up and wanna try again 😉)

Hi there, I watch your videos but rarely comment, though I felt the need to, this time…I’ve enjoyed every video that you’ve put out…you have a great way of explaining things and a lovely voice…When you do a review you are giving your opinion, and those of us who watch your videos appreciate them, be they good or bad, for the product…Every single one of us realize the Amazon paper is certainly not the best quality paper, and we know that when we buy a book with this kind of paper, that we can print off a page onto better paper if we choose, so it doesn’t stop us from purchasing the book…The colouring book authors should know this and they should try to be more neutral, when making a comment to a reviewer, because sometimes their attitude and intentions could hurt them more than the “bad” paper… My dear, you just keep doing what you’re doing, and know that you have an entire community behind you..Sending love and support❤️😘❤️
It is now 2 days since you posted this. I'm kinda slow at getting to everyone's video. I hope by now you've been able to dry your tears as the Holy One has been working on mending your broken heart and mind. You presented your best educated opinion. No can expect you to do more. I personally like to color realistic, natural images. I wouldn't touch any of the books your hands are resting upon or probably 99.9% of the coloring books sold on Amazon so the Amazon printed paper quality doesn't really affect me very much. Paper quality in coloring book is so varied and personal success with a picture requires matching the right pencil to each book. We live and learn. 🎨♿👵Barb N.

I don't care for them either. If you don't like Amazon paper, that's fine. It's probably about the cheapest you can get. It seems that in the coloring community nowadays one is not allowed to say anything negative about anything. Rather disgusting and sometimes it wants to make me puke. Stumbled upon your channel while doing a youtube search. This is the 2nd video I watched. Broke my heart Lady. Look, I seldom read people's comments. I leave some occasionally to encourage the RUclipsr or let them know how cool I thought it was etc. There are just going to be people out there that are going to be mean and say mean things no matter what. It takes courage to do what you do! Something I instilled in my daughters growing up is, "At the end of the day as long as you can lay your head on your pillow at night knowing you did the BEST job possible, that's all that matters." There is ALWAYS going to be someone who doesn't like it and makes a point to criticize it. YOU DO YOU! Keep doing what you're doing!!

Necee I didn’t watch your last video. But I have to agree that the paper between books are different. Perhaps the paper quality has changed over the years as the other author said. This is YOUR journey and we are all learning here together. I also thought the paper was different and most of us did. In fact there was an artist who even said in her amazon printed book a message that she wrote I listened to all your comments and I choose the paper that is the best seen the two choices and that’s the most that I can do. I can go through the books and try and find it. We all are human and don’t worry, we all fall down and we all cry it’s ok to cry sometimes and we love you

It is a shame that you cannot post videos or have an opinion these days on your own channel. I had a lady, not sure if she was a subscriber or not, ask why I had my cash app info in my comment sections on my video. And that she never seen anything like that, and that I shouldn’t have that there and ask for donations just because I do coloring tutorials. I just laughed it off for now, because I know others who post their cash app and other things such as Amazon list, kofi pages, patreons etc. and I NEVER ask for anything in exchange for my videos but it’s there because I’ve had others ask how they can support. It’s no different then me posting patreon info like everyone else. Ppl can really make you feel like not doing RUclips videos with their nasty comments. Anyway I hope things get better for you, and overall I would just delete the comment and continue on with YOUR CHANNEL girl! 😁🥰💜 I love your channel and ALL OF YOUR VIDEOS ARE AMAZING!!!

You know what... I know that you're doing the best you can, when you give your reviews. That's why I still watch you. Heck, I still haven't done my full RUclips review on those Shuttle art pencils, cause I'm having issues with my editing software. I'm stil trying to put up videos of music and roller skating... for that Karen to go after you like that... I don't think that's misinformation at all. She's an artist, that just needs to learn communication skills. Some artists are the worst at communicating, that's why they draw pictures of animals, so they have an outlet to vent. Just remember that!!! So when an artist is critiqued on anything, they're hard on themselves, and it reflects on how they communicate. That's all. Keep up the excellent reviews. I feel ya…kinda. Had a crazy homeless guy stalking through my videos for a while calling me names and calling me a liar..making some threats. All started with a video for a kid’s metal detector that worked fine but I didn’t flat out say it was for kids and he was expecting a professional metal detector for $75. Got me off here for about a month until he deleted all his comments and moved on with his life.
I hate to hear you upset when you always are so upbeat & cheerful & I love hearing you talk! 1st of all, I have learned not to question myself when I think I'm being thin skinned. Your feeling are valid no matter what anyone else thinks!!
So when this artist commented now & previously I'm guessing that she thinks your opinions will hurt her business & I really don't think that is the case. You're totally allowed to your opinion, as am I!! I happen to enjoy coloring mermaids & have several of her books. I do not care for the creepy, gross books but some people love them. It's ok. If I'd seen your video where you said you didn't like mermaids, I wouldn't have thought, omg I'm never buying a DM mermaid book again!! She must think you are pretty powerful to be intimated by your opinion!!
Also, sorry so long, I have been telling my husband for 30 years, it's not always WHAT you say, but HOW you say it. What was said could have been articulated in a way that was kinder but apparently you got her panties in a bunch. Tbh, it reflects more negatively on her, not you!! I think these types of comments should be made privately, & then if you feel something you said needs to be changed, you could just put out another video. However, hearing something someone said privately made you leave RUclips is very upsetting, especially since it was an opinion!! I'm glad you have come back & I enjoy your videos! And yes, not all the books you review are my cup of tea but that's okay!! It's not like you called anything stupid, ugly or badly drawn!!!

The fact that anyone has to be negative about anything you say shows how immature and ignorant people can be. I say this because , you said what you said, and it is your opinion. When buying anyone product you can have your personal comment on what is or not of your liking and people always will. You will never please everybody. Please know that you are loved and favored regardless of what Muller had to say or anybody else. I'm sorry but you shouldn't be made to feel like crap by another artist especially not on your own channel. We all know that the papers in the many Amazon printed books we own feel different at times and our tools color differently on them. So the words you spoke are true that is my conclusion! Stopped watching a newer channel, as host was too repetitive & a bit harsh, with criticism. You don’t work that way, & I appreciate.
Also appreciate your reviews. There is a way to advise that a certain drawing / art style or coloring product isn’t a good fit, while it may be for others. That is good info.

You’re fine. Please don’t take it personally. People get all up in arms about this stuff. The truth if you want people to really afford your books and sell a lot of volume they will use that so they can sell their books more affordability. The truth is you can really use any paper and make a picture beautiful. Dede Willingham is one of them and are says she likes the challenge. Please don’t feel so bad.
