With the black around the axolotls they remind me of little crayons, they are adorable, love the colours of them they just remind me of Crayola Crayons ... now I have to make these wee guys. Love your channel, I usually watch silently but I had to share this. Great work, love it all.
I also have to say the Navy and Burgundy is closest to cranberry (i even held it up to my cranberry juice jug to reference & it is closer than a red or fushia in colour...)
Really, that is the color I would least think looked like cranberry. We will see what Laurie picks!

The axolotls are too cute. ❤ around the sides of their heads are actually called Gills, used to help them breathe under the water.

Great video. You got me curious, so I had to check. The side frills are external gills, and the tail decoration are dorsal fins or crest. I just couldn't help myself. LOL

Hi new to your blog. I love it😊. I also make the Mabel chickens and I made two variations. One is add a worsted weight yarn in a lighter colour it makes a feather pattern, and makes it a little larger. Also on the last stitch of the last row I make a tail by chain 4-3x in the last stitch

I used 30 mm safety eyes, I can not do a tutorial on it as the pattern is not my design. The yarn I used is parfait chunky.

As usual, a great video! I think varge pastel must stand for variegated pastel. I used that yarn in a loaf cat. It works up really nice. And I would love to see your inventory. 😊

I just wanted to mention before you switch yarns make sure you try the newer Michael’s yarn. It is like the old Bernat now and it’s awful. You know how Bernat kinda sticks to itself? Well sweet snuggles and chenille home slim changed to help with the shedding and screwed it up. I am switching to Bernat new formula only and I’m keeping parfait for the color choices and I use it for my cheapest plushies. Mini octo, shark, whale.
I’ve had a few of the new ones, they sure aren’t as silky. The newer parfaits are worse!
I got the 24/7 yarn too and was surprised it looks almost like fingering weight! The bag I am going to make says to use it held double.
If I have to double up, that would make it a very expensive bag I might have to keep looking for a different alternative.

I bought a couple skeins of the variegated Big Twist but haven’t used them yet. So typical! Your dragon is awesome. Makes me wish I did the spikes instead of the fur. There are going to be lots of axolotls on our table. 3 different sizes though. I think your loaf dogs are adorable, better than the cats! 🦋💖🦋💖

My favorite bulky yarn to work with is Bernat. A metal hook makes all the difference! Resin hooks do not work well and have too much resistance.

Truly, loved all your makes!! On your axoloti, do you prefer the legs you made on these vs your others? Absolutely loved these colors. A video on inventory would be great!! Also, as a newbie to amigurumi, it would be interesting to know the size difference, in your experience, between the bernat blanket, bernant baby blanket, parfait chunky, sweet snuggles lite, and big twist. Love your videos!!
I'm not sure yet which way I like the legs. Only going to a market will tell. Which ever way the customers like them will be the way I like them 😂
I like how much bigger the duck made up in the blanket yarn. I prefer it in the larger size; however, the blanket yarn kills my elbow. I try to avoid it. I’ve never tried the Michael’s yarns. I definitely will once my Parfait Chunky runs out.

ok i have to have the axolotal pattern with the legs! can you tell me how to add legs?
In the pattern where is says to put a bobble stitch I chain 8, slst in the 3rd chain from hook, ch2 and slipstitch in that same spot 2 more times then slip stitch my way back down the chain.

I love the Big Twist colors but I can't stand the yarn breaks/knots in every darn skein. 🪢👎 It's always on sale tho so I still buy it...and then regret it🙂.
