Hey William Thanks for watching. Auto Leveler's would be neat. The only thing Ive had to do since that video is replace the fusible link behind the fridge. It lost power and its been a known issue.
Richard it's funny you picked today to make this comment. I have to get it ready this weekend to stay in and was dreading crawling in the storage compartment. I think ill copy what you did.
Very welcome. Glad to try to answer any questions you might have. Since that video I had to replace the fusable link in the back of the 12 volt fridge. Known issue.
Well we have had that known problem with the dominica toilet. It was a horrible smell we got lucky by the time the problem showed up it was out of normal warranty, but they extended the warranty by 1 year we just happened to make that call on the last day of that extended period. We were in North Dakota on vacation the new one was waiting for us when we got home in SC Someone was watching out for us. 🤣 We have the TE29 queen bed in front and a double bed at the back. One major problem we had on the road was the control switch for the slide out the wires wiggled loose. Camping World in Fargo North Dakota could not help us until the morning. Guess what ? Wallet credit cards ect were in the back bedroom and we could not get that door open because the slide out was blocking it. Lesson learned we had tools and fixed the control switch. So that is something you could mention in your next video. Those wires on the switch were not tywrapped to anything to support the weight of wires on the back of the switch. Piss poor engineering. Some if not most interstate roads are horrendous bumpy. These designers can not be campers. William Ash (201) 213-3759 🇺🇸
Thanks Daniel After that video my fridge stopped working and I researched it and found there had been some fusable link problems. Changed it out myself and it’s been fine ever since.
This is good information from some real world person I trust who is not biased. We will get a camper at some point but not ready for one. But my one thing I worried about is we don't want to get rid of our Sequoia but I was worried it's 8900 pound towing capacity would be to low to pull even a medium sized camper. I still think it will be a dog in the mountains. But to hear your towing with a vehicle with basically the same capacity gives me a better feeling.
Great review! We have been stuck on getting a 2022 (26dbh) for months. We’ve been in 250-300 other campers but always go back to the grey wolf. I think you’ve sealed the deal!
Hey John Thank You. Since this video the only thing I had to fix is a fuseable link in the back of the fridge. It lost power and that link wasn’t making connection. Have a bigger truck now also and been eyeballing Fifth Wheels LOL.
As far as tires. I hear the boat and RV forums saying good year marathons are some of the worst tires. I have run several kinds of Chinese tires with good luck. I have been running Freestar that I bought on Amazon. I have had one set of 2 for 4 or 5 years and one just broke a belt and I need to replace it.
You could probably lay a cheap 5x7 tarp I've the top solar panel and somehow bungee it down to help protect the top cover. You Want to keep those deep cycles charged up as much as possible even floating them up around 13 for maximum battery life.
Just curious... I'd look into what material those knobs on the camp stove are. If they are something like Teflon, you aren't going to melt them nearly as easy as you might think. Now if they are ABS or HDPE, yes they are liable to melt.
Hey Jonny Thanks for watching. I haven’t even tried cooking on it. My wife is in one of those Facebook Grey Wolf pages and I’ve seen a bunch of pics with melted knobs.
Great review, Personally i would remove the Refrige and put the ice maker inside, turn the sliding drawer into a nice prep table and place a nice ac/dc cooler into the hole that can be removed and taken with the truck or just used in your picnic area. your critical thinking is on point and I can believe this TT will be in great shape for years to come.
Thanks for watching and commenting. I have grown to like the fridge. I would however like some sort of draws in place of the cook top. I use a 17 inch black stone now for a lot of cooking and thinking about getting some sort of camp kitchen setup to set it on.
Anyone actually winter camp with one of these? Looking to buy one for a primary residence. Don't mind no water in the winter, but if there's a way I'd like to know.
The brochure said it had a enclosed underbelly. I don’t know if that means it’s winter camping ready or not. It does have insulation in the underbelly.
any luck in your search, a year later im in same position wondering. so far i keep seeing people say to enclose the bottom with foamboard and seal the gaps.
I had them on there and it did ok the first year but the second year all four poked out. I might get a foot or two extra next time cause this think was pretty snug.
Best money upgrade I did to my greywolf was GROUNDCONTROL automatic levelers.

The queen bed lifts up for access.
I put my access for the hot water valves in the plywood under my mattress .I cut a 4" hole and cut a 5" piece to cover the hole.

Thanks for all the info. We’re getting this trailer soon so your input is a big help.

Your welcome. I haven’t seen a comment on this video in a while and it’s ironic I’m at the beach now in it. Lol
Super informative of some experience after a year of use. Awesome!
Thanks Daniel

Very informative video. Any suggestions for an upgraded toilet for a 2018 Forest River Grey Wolf? Thank you
I have heard that upgrading to the porcelain bowl toilet was a better deal. I may do mine this summer.
Can you please show me a picture of how the fresh-water drain looks like so i can have a better idea.
Be glad to . Email me at joey@jtwes.com and I send it to you this evening.
I don't know if it's because mine is a 2022 but if you lift up the queen bed you can access the hot water heater from there.
I can access it from there but would still have to crawl a little.
Hello, Very nice job. Quick question. How do you turn on the blue LED awning lights? Thanks!
It’s on the Controll panel as awning light. There’s also a slide light button for the inside.
@@Jtwes Thanks. I don't see the Awning light switch on my panel. 2018 forest river grey wolf 26dbh?
@@thearmoniaband9189 aw man they may be a little different

I think you would be fine pulling one like mine just take it easy and a good weight distribution hitch.

Along with the scenes next week always love your words of wisdom mr joe!
Thanks Ben
Thanks for taking the time to make this review. My family and I are looking at buying the same model but a couple years older.
Your welcome. Hope you get one it’s a wonderful way to spend time together.
Where is the drain plug for the freshwater tank..i have the exact travel trailer like yours but i cannot find the drain for fresh water
Hello
Left side between the tires there’s a big T handle drain that you can pull out.
I really enjoyed the tour of the RV ! I didn’t know it had as much as it did. So thanks for sharing! Oh btw have a great time and enjoy your family!

I’ve heard good things about endurance from Goodyear. I personally like Michelin stuff.
Interesting Joe Thanks👍👍
Nice looking camper Mr Joe👍. Be careful and have fun on your trip.

I have the same unit... what kind of cover you said you use and where did you buy it??
Hey Todd
It’s a Adco I think I got it from them I don’t remember. I’ve got to get a new one this year. Those gutters did a number on it.
@@Jtwes will pool noodles help??? Or what did you do to prevent that from happening???

How tall are you by the way?
Hello
6’2”
What size are those floor joists in the "operational storage" compartment? The look like 1.5x 2.5"
Probably are I haven’t measured them. You know there going to use small stuff. But to be fair it’s under the mattress.
The long awaited camper review. What we have been waiting for, for a year or so.
