A good idea but don`t wait to long, before you know they will be sold out. We call this a standard gauge 1 live steam loc with a scale of 1:32 and the track on which it runs is 45 MM. This track is the same one as many other scales are running on like G scale which is 1:22,5. I hope this is of any help to you. For buying one of these you can contact Accucraft USA.
45 min is a long running time even without any cars in tow. Because of these US freight cars, including the Caboose, they all have 4 axles ea. vs. European cars 2 axles ea. plus the cars r wider and longer, so they adds mo weight (well, mo friction n mo wt). So dat's (that's) even mo (more) amazing. I hope on ur nxt run like this, u'll employ a 2nd Fireman to shove the coal! Glad datto track is nice n long. Other- wise, the snake wld (would) b sniffing (ahhh, let's say it's chasing) its own tail. Thx 4 the video.
I have been hearing about a few QC issues with post 2016 Aster and some Accucraft. Ya'll are happy with the Mikado? Got any other newer Aster or Accucraft? They run fine?
Wonderful new version of a previous Mikado build by Aster which were also some of the best running engines. Do you know if Graham's was a factory built unit or a kit ? One local person bought the Light Mikado Kit and he had some mis-sorted parts including wrong wheel size and had to wait for replacement parts.
Graham`s was a factory build one and it run right out of the box, so no problems there. I have heard about some problems but on our side they are solve very quickly. I am very impressed with the pulling power and the sound of this engine.
My entrance into live steam was by assembling the Light Mikado kit. I was pretty worried it would not turn out correctly. In the end I’m extremely proud of how well she runs: ruclips.net/video/qmWOnKKjGg8/видео.html ruclips.net/video/dpFZ5hR5_WU/видео.html Now just need to construct a railroad! P.S. Beautiful railway and train!
Very nice run, great sounding loco. I particularly envy the the shed integrated into the layout.
For me the same Csongor, I would love to have such a shed, but first lets build my railway. :)
Bonjour Bram,
What a 141, what a train and what a railway ! This locomotive could pull one person if we could seat behind it.
Amicalement, Raphaël
Bonjour Raphaël, you could be right that this engine would pull a person, glad you liked the video. Kind Regards, Bram
Once I move to Texas, I'll buy one of these and have my fun with it. Btw, is it a G Gauge loco? Locomotive sounds great and the layout looks amazing.

Lovely video Bram , The Loco looks and sounds Great , Best wishes Graham
Thanks Graham for your kind words, I see that you are also running a lot. Best Wishes Bram
I have just built the Heavy Mikado kit version and tested it but have not run it on a track, amazing build!
Good for you and as you can see it is an amazing strong model.

To bad you can build a 7 1/2inch gauge for the price of that one. If you know how to do machine work for tha raw castings
On our age gauge 1 is easier to handle don`t you think?
