    • @sebastianvella8992
      @sebastianvella8992 3 года назад

Monsters usually don't last long as they have to loose sometime and people get tired of them especially if they don't have an endearing character. The WWE standard practice of dealing with monsters is to make them run their course, get beaten regularly by the face and then make them into a tag team which nobody has interest in seeing as we all know it won't last long. Instead they should try a new approach especially with a monster who has potential. First make him have his monster run and loose against the champion. After loosing against the champion he should also loose surprisingly against some young upcomer. Make him go ballistic and have a technical manager come in to offer his service. Make him leave the scene for a little and then return a couple of months later with a new attitude and have him fight with more technical skills. He could just use simple moves like an abdominal stretch, a Boston crab or some other traditional hold , but since he is a monster with extra power he should be more devastating and sell the hold better than smaller technical wrestlers. He could also help later on the new monsters who has just been beaten and then maybe form a new tag team that would be more endearing.

'Lunatic Fringe' was a moniker created specifically because Ambrose was wonky and odd in the ring. His wild in-ring style masked the fact that he was NEVER actually good in the ring.
Makes me think back to his US Championship days in The Shield and how he almost never defended it.

For the uninformed: Moxley once wanted to have a hardcore match at Wrestlemania with Brock Lesnar and use a chainsaw against him. For obvious reasons, that never happened.
And just compare where he is now compared to his former Shield teammates. Roman Reigns is pushed as the top heel on Smackdown and in a feud with his underdog cousin. Seth Rollins literally thinks himself as the second coming of Christ and - while it has been admittedly stretched out and gotten a bit too silly - has had a memorable feud with Rey Mysterio and his son, who already looks like he could be a future champion. And Jon Moxley... is doing pretty much the same stuff he did three years ago but with less people, less pay, less rules, and more probability to get himself hurt.

The People I really Feel Bad here For , Truly is Jim Ross and Tony Shiovane, Who Both have been in the Business give or take a combo of 70 plus years between them both, Jim Ross and Shiovone, Seeing the Best the business has to offer from calling Flair vs steamboat matches, to calling Harley Race matches, and Ross and Shiovone both involved on opposite sides during the Monday Night Wars Era where pro wrestling was on FIRE andThriving, Ross calling Stone cold matches and Tony calling Goldberg Matches, Where Pro Wrestling was at its most OVER I MEAN OVER, people who made fun or could careless about pro wrestling, Tuned in Monday Nights just to see what the hype was all about and eventually convert . I'll fully admit I bought into it. It believed that WWE was holding him back and there was so much more to him. Now that I've seen Jon Moxlry unshackled, I just wish he'd leave wrestling, Dean Ambrose or Jon Moxley. Maybe he could be a manager, because he can definitely talk, but his work is just the same stupid hardcore horseshit every time. They go too long, no one sells, even moves that should be hospitalization angles at best or never attempted at worst.
They are trying so hard to make him Steve Austin 2, but they have no idea how to and he is nowhere near the caliber of talent necessary for that. He's not a no nonsense, tough as balls asskicking underdog, he's just basically playing a crazy vagrant who shows up from the crowd and shoots promos in dingy alleys.
On top of that, one of the best things of Austin was his pursuit of the title. He wanted it and no matter what obstacle was in front of him, it may slow him down, but he'd get his eventually over months of build. Moxley already has the belt and he just no sells everything and buries everyone. What is the mark of a great story: the journey or the destination? Well in Moxley's case, the journey was about 4 shows long and the destination smells strongly of human shit, so I guess neither and fuck this story.

The biggest irony of Moxley is that he did none of the no-DQ shit in NJPW, and it was phenomenal. He went to Japan and was reborn in the eyes of everybody, having amazing tournament matches and using real storytelling to keep you interested. He was immediately put in the US title picture, won it in a great match, and cut some amazing promos.
How did he go from that, to this? Even if this is what he wants to do, why do it when what you did in New Japan proved to be the winning formula for quality matches and fan appea? However, after seeing the way Omega, the Bucks, Archer, and now Mox have all kinda gone down the drain in AEW… i can’t tell if it’s AEW making these guys look bad, if it’s because they finally have control over what they want because Khan doesn’t know better, or if New Japan is just that much better than current-day American wrestling.

I agree with the co-host. I started watching AEW about a year ago and it was alot better back then it has gone way downhill since. Especially the past 3 months or so it has really started to suck hard. Every now and then you get a good match like the parking lot brawl a few weeks ago but almost 90% of the time I find myself extremely disappointed. WWE is far from perfect but at the moment it is blowing AEW out of the water on a weekly basis.

To be fair, the Bucks probably have credit cards so they don't need to carry $10,000 around with them. :P I think the worst part of the match was when Mox somehow revived himself after getting hit with the Blackout to win with a roll-up (people faffing about with furniture for ages was idiotic too though).

Fun fact, I was playing a show in Nashville many years ago and Steven Segal was playing across the street. After our set we were outside and Steven is leaving his venue. We go up to make quick conversation, and Segal refers to himself in 3rd person as "Steven Segal". He says: "Steven Segal is tired, Steven Segal just played a very exciting set" and he leaves. That was my Steven Segal experience.

I like Mox, I think he's a great promo. But in the ring, this guy has to be one of the laziest guys ever. This BS death match garbage is lazy, no other way to say it. You do it one time, it's fun, you do it 10 times, it's fn lazy. Why should I care for this deathmatch, when all he's done are deathmatches? Does he really not understand that he will appeal to the stupid AEW fanbase no matter what, but to reach the fans beyond them, he needs to start putting in some work? He is so lazy, it's ridiculous. But I can't really blame him, the booker should know how to get him to be creative. Of course, the booker doesn't know a damn thing, that's been quite obvious, having tolerated AEW this year. I'm done with this experiment, SmackDown has legitimately been enjoyable since Reigns returned, I'll stick to that.

@@markcollins6635 exactly my point. ECW worked at that time coz there was nothing else like it. That was 20 goddamn years ago. Leave it in the goddamn past, it's over. And why the hell would I want Mox to be a retread of Terry Funk or Mick Foley instead of being goddamn himself? Don't tell me he doesn't have his own personality or that he can't have a normal goddamn match. I've followed Mox's entire career in WWE, this guy is good, he's been in some of the best tag team matches I've ever watched and he's been in some of the most enjoyable feuds WWE has had in the last decade. So I know when he's being lazy. Creatively, this is just fn lazy. Just throw another wrestler at Moxley for this month. No story, no angle, have a deathmatch coz it's an easy sell. Jon Moxley, the deathmatch guy. Well, if it's not too much to ask, I'd like to see Jon Moxley, the main event star. If you think Lance Archer can't work for shit, then have someone else be the fkn challenger. Have Guevara fight Mox for a change. Just enough of this stupid garbage matches. He's had one every month since he won that damn belt. End of the day, though, the booker is the one at fault. Coz he has to present his stars in the best way possible and Khan has failed at this for the entirety of this year. Awful show.

What about The Fiend, Goldberg, even Drew kicking out ar ONE from an F5, but its all good right? AEW has monsters who no sell as well, one of them is Lance, Mox is just an absorbant pain-loving guy like Foley was, he was that before he even went to WWE. Also that deathmatch guy had the MOTY in 2011 with Seth Rollins, you don't do that if you can't wrestle like some of you Jim fans like to state. He is rightful wrestler of the year as well, not just for his AEW work, but his work outside it as well. You know his match with Kross, Darby, NJPW his AEW stint which was better quality matches he ever had in any of the WWE shows bar his stint in FCW.

@@markcollins6635 he's being lazy or he's just as uninspired with the booking as me. I've seen this man have some bangers, he's either not interested in working at that level again or he's been booked to seem like a has been. This dude is one of the top wrestlers of the decade yet every match for the last year has been deathmatch, deathmatch, violence, deathmatch. I'm sick of it. You don't need to tell me Mox works hard and is awesome, I've seen it with my own eyes. Seeing him cash in that MITB on Rollins was the most satisfying, heartwarming thing I've seen from WWE over the last 5 years. But I can also recognise when he either phones it in creatively or doesn't care as much. It's very visible. I'm not sure if the staph infections and wear and tear on his body over all these years have just taken too great a toll, but there is no denying that Mox matches follow the same pattern over and over and has for the last year. This man is the only reason I used to even tune in to AEW, but if they're gonna be so lazy as to not even have a credible feud for him or put him in a position to stand out, I'm just gonna stick to SmackDown.

The thing that these dummy's do now every week setting up a table or a chair or some stupid set up to put a guy through, thinking they're building up to some great amazing spot is so boring. We know what's going to happen.
Back in the day when E&C/Hardy's/Dudleys set tables or ladders and stuff, it's because there were 6 guys in the match, so you could set a table up and then immediately getting beaten up by somebody else which takes the focus off the "furniture setup" then you go do more shit on the other side of the ring or do a spot where you're trying to grab the titles then later in the match "oh my god" somebody fell off the ladder onto the table that was set up 10-15 minutes before and everyone forgot about because you did other cool shit and it's an amazing spot.
I absolutely refuse to watch AEW. Comedy bullshit, nobodies on television every week that no one cares about that for some reason goes 20 minutes. They've burnt through feud after feud after feud in only a year and it's just spot after spot, no rules. Moxley is fucking terrible, he's literally had the same match every single week.
