I think you hear the "bang" if the plane is beyond the speed of sound, not specifically when it at a given time crossed the speed of sound.

I remember myself as a young man, with a pitchfork in my hands, completing the top of a huge haystack in an endless open field (just summer volunteer job).
At that moment, right above the ground, even below me, a beautiful Fighter jet sweeps by, friendly swinging its wings.
Next moment, this Fighter jet climbed-up almost vertically, and passed the sound’s barrier!
I was just stunned by this amazing mighty sonic boom! Practically simultaneously this whole huge 30-foot-high stack jumped up with me, standing on its top!!!
I did not fall off this stack only because I have intuitively drove the pitchfork deep into the stack, holding tightly its handle with both hands.
That’s unforgettable!!! 😂❤️

We don't realise how massive these planes are! Sukhoi never made a single plane that wasn't a concern for the rest of the world. Back in the day when dog fights and aerial warfare was a thing, seeing a Sukhoi coming at you meant you ran out of luck.

It is similar to Air Warrior, it is a world war 2 flight simulation that has ground vehicles and ships, too. I love flying the P39 which was made in the buffalo Niagara Falls NY region where I live and used extensively by Russia against the Germans with success. They have Yak, IL2, Tupoluv airplanes in historic Russian markings. I think they have a two weeks free trial available for aces high. Check it out ✅

The pilots…..handling that amount of vertical thrust and the power of the horse they ride….they must have to enter a particular/other state of consciousness to handle the amount of G force yet still remain in total control of themselves their craft and the potentially hostile environment ….amazing!!!!

The mach cone switched direction. You get to hear a sonic boom more than once whenever the mach cone crosses you. It must have been travelling at a high mach number for you to hear the 2nd sonic boom at that vertical climb where the mach cone had much small degree.

Just as others have said; It breaks the sound barrier whilst climbing vertically and spinning at the same time. Then consider it has the highest service ceiling. 😯

There are signs this is not DCS, such as sharpening halos, high-ISO noise, focus breathing and re-focusing as the cameraman hastily zooms in and out, changing his mind over which jet to follow when they separate, letting the chosen jet go out of frame momentarily, difficulty following it at high zoom, the sudden appearance of a vapour trail when going through a cloud layer, plus the audio seems consistent with it being recorded on the ground, at the camera location (the trees appearing in frame confirm it was recorded on the ground).
My feeling is that DCS would be too perfect, ie, not taking real-world video recording difficulties into account.
Whatever it is, it's awesome.
All done in post... those are DCS clouds. There also isn't any focus breathing.

This video was 100% created using Digital Combat Simulator (DCS), even says #dcs in description and people acting like its real, incredible job to fool so many people tbh.
That sound is the give away that it's not as stealthy as they would have you believe.
No fighter jets are. The F22 and F35 are every bit as noisy. Only some bombers like the B2 are super silent.

The sound actually adds to its stealth capabilities. The wave of the sound actually blocks the radar waves. And as you see, the Russians have no "Sonic boom" effect. No visual when they go into boom. That effect is made by poor avionics and due to bad airflow. Russians go from cruise to supersonic without a visual effect. Says a lot.
