Wow thank you! Very kind of you to say so. Glad the video helped, it's such a fun game. Having played it at all player counts, I'll say there's not a bad one.
This was great! We understood more from arching you play than some others that tried to explain prior to playing. Great job, very clear! I also love your nails!!!
I thought the objective cards were supposed to be facedown, it makes the COOP more cooperative having them faceup so thank you for displaying this game for me!
CZ - Velmi pěkné, svižné, inteligentní představení hry pro dva hráče. Moc děkuji. Jsem nadšený do hry. Je pravda, že nemluvím anglicky. Pomáhá mi automatický překlad titulků. A pěkně to chápu!! Velmi pěkná práce. Eng. - Very nice, nimble, intelligent presentation of a game for two players. Thank you very much. I'm excited about the game. True, I don't speak English. Automatic subtitle translation helps me. And I get it pretty much !! Very nice work.
Thank you! I'm glad the subtitles work for you. The game is awesome, and we highly recommend for two players. If you have more people to play with, that's just extra fun you'll get to have.
Great game! Just one comment : you should have put the tricks face down as according to the rules you should be able to take a look only at the last trick’s cards during the game.
CZ - Dnes jsme začali hrát. Díky vám. Ale nejde nám úplně mlčet. Hrajeme s manželkou. Je to nádherná hra. Úplně dokonalá. Jarvis je borec - umí mlčet. Potřebuji být jako Jarvis. Eng. - We started playing today. Thanks to you. But we cannot be completely silent. We play with my wife. It's a wonderful game. Absolutely perfect. Jarvis is a fighter - he can keep quiet. I need to be like Jarvis.
And I believe in a real game, there should be no talking/communicating except only with the communication token? Is that correct? If so, that makes it far more challenging lol.
IN 2 PLAYERS The Crew, How should the Distress Signal be handled: Does Jarvis participate in the passing of cards (selecting Jarvis’ FACEUP card to pass), or do just the humans exchange one card?
Sorry for the delay. I had to look it up to remember and give you a right answer. JARVIS does participate as well. The Commander chooses for it. Thanks for watching!
For mission 1 (blue 2) that Wendy is supposed to accomplish. Chris won, and nothing happened? And then Wendy won and she completed the mission. I dont get it. Whats the point of Chris winning for that mission that was not his? Wasnt the mission was for Wendy to win that trick?
I will try to explain in the best way I can: Basically she needs to get a blue two (chris hand) and jarvis had a blue seven (chris doesn't know if wendy has a blue card higher than seven) so to be careful he plays a blue card to waste jarvis only blue card which is seven and eliminate the possibility of wendy not having a card higher than blue seven. The result of that trick was jarvis losing the only blue card and eliminating the possibility of jarvis winning the round by higher value, now chris plays the blue two wendy needs and she finishes it off with a blue card higher value than two making wendy win that trick and finishing her mission without the risk of jarvis winning by higher value
Chris doesn’t win the first trick because the “blue 2” card was not played by any player. In order to win the trick, the mission’s card (blue 2 in this case) MUST be played.
Yo this game is bonkers its super good. I was playing it wrong with my gf. Thanks for the playthrough. Yo can u play Robinson Crusoe Adventures on the Cursed Island? If u have the time and the game ofc. :)
So the one thing about 2-player is that you have to be prepared for the rare, unwinnable game. A simple example - if you have to take the blue 4 before taking the yellow 2, but the blue 4 is buried under the yellow 2 in Jarvis's hand. That would be rare, but if it happens, there is nothing you can do about it. Is there anything in the rules that addresses that? Or is it just something you have to accept as a possibility?
Hey Mandy, glad you enjoyed it! Just to make sure, we didn't make the variant, it's in the rulebook. Maybe I misread what you typed. You could easily keep the all the rockets out of the first shuffle when you deal the cards to Jarvis. The rulebook only states to keep the #4 Rocket out. We REALLY loved the variant, makes it worth buying even for just 2p in the mean time!
I'm confused. The rules state " If a player wins even a single card for which another player has the corresponding task card, you lose immediately" The side bar says "If a task is fulfilled by a crew member who does not possess the appropriate task card, you have lost" At the start the player without the blue task card won the trick, they played the blue 9, therefore you should have lost the mission, game over, however you just kept playing until the player with the blue task card, won a blue truck and got her card. Can you please confirm what's correct.
So that first card that had to be won was specifically the Blue 2. So while I won the first trick that had blue cards in it, Wendy won the one that had the Blue 2, so she is the one who completed her task card. Hope that helps clarify.
This was great, though in the rules the rocket cards should not be in the deck when you make jarvis cards. You deal his cards out then take the remaining cards mix in the rockets and deal out to the two players. Besides that great video!!!
I think you're mistaken here - the rules only say to make sure the single four rocket is out of the deck, not all of them. I think your confusion might be that it uses "four rocket card", which can easily be mistaken for "four rocket cards"
I must say, I watched other videos of this game, but it wasn't sticking to me. But you guys explained/demo this game perfectly. Thank you!
Wow thank you! Very kind of you to say so. Glad the video helped, it's such a fun game. Having played it at all player counts, I'll say there's not a bad one.
thank you very much for the explanation, my kid keeps waiting almost died while i was reading the manual 😆
Tremendous voices! You made it fun to watch. Congrats

This video sold The Crew to me, where no other video could. You two are so entertaining to listen to as well. Subscribed! :D

this was fun to watch! now the game is more clear to me! :D and complement to your enthusiast voices

Thank you two. This was very helpful. Easier to understand than the app.

Points for using the word "thereof" in the exposition. I have found my tribe.

Great video guys!
Jarvis made crew very playable at two!!

Most welcome.
thanks for sharing!!!
1:53 why do you have a rocket card face up for the third player? I though the 4 rocket cards were distributed between the two players only
I was confused too but reread the rules. Jarvis can get rockets, just not the ‘4 rocket’ card.

In the first round, Wendy did not win the trick and she was required to because of the 1 correct. Chris did. Isn't it game over at that point?

If there's an unwinnable setup, we just play again. The nice thing is that the game is short enough that I don't mind if that happens.
Watched your video for help. Thank you for making the 2 player variant😉 We just played this. I think Jarvis shouldn't have a Rocket in 2 player.

@@MeepleOverboard Baha! We read 4 Rockets. Not 4 rocket. 😂
@@HappyMeeples The rulebook really suffers from a case of "mostly good translation but just a bit off sometimes" Haha
@@MeepleOverboard That's a really nice way of saying that. 😉 I agree.
How come Jarvis has a rocket? The rulebook says to create Jarvis without the 4 rockets?
without the '4' rocket. not the 4 rocketS :)
I'm confused.

well my and my gf were playing this completely wrong lol
Oh no, haha. As long as it was fun, it was still worth it. How were you playing it?
Wrong rules! In two player varient the AI JARVIS shoudn't get rocket cards at all.
Great video.....terrible game!! Very simple and boring!!
I will never understand how ppl find this game interesting! I guess there are ppl that just like light card board games!
