First, it's unfair to say "it's only the Dutch league". Dutch club football is very, very good - arguably the fifth best league in the world, with man for man the best academy system anywhere. If you're killing it in Holland, you're playing elite football. Second, a stellar performance against *ANY* Champions League opposition is noteworthy - so he deserves all the flowers he's getting, without caveats. Third, I'm interested to hear opinions of another pool player, Auston Trusty. He had a *SPECTACULAR* match against a decent Aberdeen side in a cup semifinal, then followed it up with an even better performance three days later against RB Leibzig. He's truly coming in to his own at Celtic after a bit of a rocky start. I'd like to see him get some minutes with the senior national team.
Herc was on point with the comment about Tillman usually getting garbage minutes and not with the main starters. Gio has gotten those minutes lately. Tillman's comment about settling in at PSV is key. When he settled in at QPR he got league MVP. Regarding Seb's question, yeah that is a key thing I want to see out of Poch, bring out the performance of players at USMNT level. The other is developing a bench that can win a WC.
I hope so for Tillman and the USMNT.
