A lot of people does not know about the V-Rally franchise because it wasn't launched as a new Need for Speed game, just as V-Rally, in Europe. Only V-Rally 2 included ''Need for Speed'' in the title of it in all regions.
Somehow in different legions, the reason the title name "Need For Speed: V-Rally" is actually that Electronic Arts, which make the works of the Need For Speed series, had published the Infogrames' (now Atari Games) V-Rally. Otherwise, Eden Studios' V-Rally 2 was also titled as "Test Drive: V-Rally 2" by Infogrames in the Dreamcast version.
I have V-Rally and V-Rally 2 on Playstation (PAL) and there's no NFS written anywhere, I didn't know it was made by them
There was also Motor City Online (formerly known as Need for Speed: Motor City).
Need for Speed 64 for Nintendo 64 canceled and altered into Beetle Adventure Racing (and HSV Adventure Racing).
Need for Speed: Edge is forgotten / not known by many.
Am I the only one who still play Undercover, Shift and Shift 2 :( this stay at home order made me buy older NFS games and I'm currently playing Shift 2

Shift 2, one of the best nfs games
@@TheBossGaming Agreed 💎

No, I'm a big fan of Undercover and I even have the limited edition of Shift 2 :)
I remember back then in '09 I was playing Nitro on my Wii, good times.
It was goofy, just look at it. Its cool
From the gameplay I've seen, I'd say the engines sounded pretty good, especially when shifting down.
Good old Nitro, i always addicted to that game since Wii was first exercise game went viral

Payback is forgotten cuz almost nobody wants to remember it xD
Funny how it's the one that has an actual pvp mode instead of 2015 or heat.
@@smokedout7129 wdym? 2015 speedlist system was easily the best one imo

@@smokedout7129 It has the best pvp we've seen recently, just research before spitting false information
So according to this list every retro Need for Speed from the 90's has been forgotten except for Need for Speed 2 and Need for Speed 3.
I don't really get how the first Need for Speed ever is forgotten, especially since everyone was talking about last year when it was Need for Speed's anniversary. And I don't get how High Stakes and Porsche Challenge are both forgotten either. All 3 games are legendary.
It's games like the Over Drivin the Japanese version of The Need for Speed with only Nissan in it and all the online Need for Speeds in countries like China that's been forgotten over the years.
Seems like they don't have the same definition of "forgotten".
You hardly see the new games taking inspiration from the retro games. Therefore, they've been forgotten, at least by the developers, which is the worst possible situation, really.
@@vitamc1213 If they were forgotten you can blame the "fans" that came from UG era. HP 2010 was the closiest NFS similiar to the classic ones and those "fans" just know complain that DoESnT HavE CosTuMiZaTion

It's sad that people never cared much about games like Shift, Shift 2, Undercover. I loved these three. Specially the Shift series. I still have the packs of them.

Title: "Forgotten NFS Games"
Me: "what?"
These games have been forgotten because of the undergound and most wanted '05 fanboys. They can't appreciate the older and obscure Need For Speeds.
P.S.: i played NFS Nitro and it really felt like it had its own feel.
Same dude.
True but you sound like my grandpa
I grew up with Underground 2 and even I thought High Stakes was more fun
Those fanboys are the true motive that the series are in a bad situation these days
Well i can’t blame them for liking Mw and underground. They are great games after all. But i do agree Nitro and the old NFS games are amazing. That’s why Hot Persuit 2010 is one of my favorites ever
V-Rallye comes from the french studio Infogrames. They added Need for Speed to attract Americans to rally races, which are more popular in Europe.
Even though Nitro wasn’t as great, it had some AMAZING car sounds
Spitfire The Wolf can’t argue that.
Biggest concern on nfs heat : NO DRAG RACE

So many Need For Speed games were good and then people start giving them bad ratings just for minor details...
Exactly, this fucking community shits on anything that isn't carbon or most wanted. There have been so many good nfs games that get bad rep for no reason.
I have never seen words more true than this
Undercover story was horrible...even the vehicle handling was quite bad and bugged. Shift 1 and 2 were both the bad copy of pro street mixed with Forza Motorsport. Rivals came right after that horrible copy of Burnout Paradise, called Most Wanted 2012. Right Before they launched that idiotic game called The Run...2hours of gameplay for 70€!! Payback? Payback Just sucks! I tried it for free with the 1 month origin acces gift for 2fa activation...after playing Forza Horizon 3, fh4 and nfs2015...yes, payback Is garbage...idiotic story, cringe dialogs, horrible car handling and the cringiest E3 presentation. Sorry guys, but if you call these minor details i don't know what are you talking about, because i can assume you never played those 4 mastepieces called Underground, Underground 2, Most Wanted 2005 and Carbon! I loved NFS saga and i still play those games After 15 Years, especially Underground 2 and Most Wanted...and all the NFS games after prostreet are just and insult against players, at least older ones.

I've watched so many NFS evolutions that I know almost all of these games
Nfs shift was honestly a really good game. I liked the grand turismo vibes
Wait high stakes is one of my favourites nfs, like the third or so. How can it be forgotten?
This is likely because of how not many people play it anymore, I havent seen much of it myself although i like messing around on it thou.
Few remember nfs games for psp as nfs mw 5.1.0.
could serve for a second part.
Nfs, high stakes and porsche unleashed are great! Never forget in my ps1 ❤️
When I first got my PSP NFS Rivals was a really fun solid racing game that went straight to the point with no story just pure racing and cool car customization.
For everyone saying why game this and game that are forgotten, who do you see talk about games like Payback, Rivals, the PSP titles and games like Nitro or Shift? Some games like Payback just need to be forgotten imo.
Thank you 😁

@@rashad4566 smh what?
Rivals was good, soo too was payback. Shift and nitro yeah are garbage and the older games were ok. So beacause the games died of youtube means they are "forgotten". And so what if they dont get uploaded in social platforms anymore it doesnt mean that the were forgotten, they are still many games that have fallen off of social platforms that still have alot of players that still play the games to this day but dont bother to upload because it wouldnt make sense to watch gameplay of older video games, they wont do well. Games like call of duty and battlefield. Their older games dont get many uploads if none at all and still have sizable communities. But maybe if you hopped off the bandwagon you would realize that.🙄
@@rashad4566 payback was hot garbage lmao

High Stakes, Porsche Unleashed, and Underground 1 are legendary games. Not a chance in hell they would ever be forgotten.
Payback isn’t bad it’s just the speedcards I didn’t like and it being located near a desert
@TheSoulEater121 The Crew 2 isn't as good as the first one was and is.
NFS Payback is not horrible despite the story made me scratch my eyes with barbed wire
It's an Okayish game almost everything are decent. Except from that stupid upgrade system ofc. And the story is just sad.

I have played most games in this list except the very first NFS. I loved High Stakes, Shift franchise, and Undercover ngl. The sense of speed in the PSP version of Carbon gave it away honestly, it felt like 100mph is 20mph feels like getting nowhere
NFS: Nitro on the Nintendo ds is still one of my altime favourite games on any platform, still play it semi-regularly
Nfs carbon own the city’s story was amazing... until the end smh
That was really a plot twist...

@@KEVINDMASTAH Mick Rodgers died in a race. You might think EX is responsible but the truth is that Rodgers (I'll call Mick's brother by his surname) is the one who organized his murder. The more Mick raced, the more he became a cruel and violent person and everyone hated him. That's when Rodgers contacted Sara and told her he will get rid of him for everyone. The accident was not planned unfortunately. Thus, Rodgers only knew at the end that he killed his own brother for Sara' safety (hence the "violent man" part)

how to be a real NFS “fan”:
STEP 1: ALWAYS REMEMBER THE ESSENTIAL: ONLY UNDERGROUND 1&2, CARBON AND NFSMW ARE GOOD NFS GAMES, THE REST IS DICKSHIT OR IRRELEVANT
STEP 2: KEEP IN MIND: NEVER LET NFS TRY NEW THEMES LIKE ACTION OR SIM RACING, BECAUSE NFS IS ALL ABOUT STREET RACING, COP CHASES, AND CUSTOMIZATION. NOTHING MORE THAN THAT.
STEP 3: CRITERION? GHOST GAMES? WHO ARE THEY? LMAO, BLACKBOX IS THE BEST!!!!
Very true and very underrated comment. Also to add for step 2 most of these fans think NFS is about illegal street racing, running for out of the cops, customization etc..
How about the fans who only likes realistic stuff
(especially undercover haters)
@@djforceonmyradioooooohhh If you ask me I do like both realistic and arcade racer (I prefer arcade mostly since I grew up with arcade games). And for NFS Undercover my biggest complaint is the driving physics. Also this game compared to NFS Pro Street is more unpolished since Black Box was split on 2 and Black Box and EA focused more on Pro Street and NFS Undercover left into the NFS Pro Street's shadows. If this game was more polished (in terms of driving experience and elminating some glitches like the reverse glitch) and it had slightly better story that makes more sense it could be good as NFS MW/Carbon. The only things I liked the best about NFS Undercover is the soundtrack, busted scenes and maybe the car damage (it is the same as NFS Pro Street). Overall it had potential but it is wasted.
@@djforceonmyradioooooohhh nfs is supposed to be arcade so, they shouldn't expect nfs to have iRacing physics

Underground 1&2
Most Wanted
Carbon
Hot pursuit 2010
Will never be forgotten. No matter which one you like better.
NFS Hot Pursuit 2 seems also to be a favorite amongst older fans (mostly the PS2 version)
What is this?! Only the really old games and handheld exclusives (as well as the other obscure games in the series) are forgotten. Most people who know the NFS franchise for some time have at least heard about the other games from this video (e.g. I know Payback ain't great, but how do you forget a recent-ish mainline entry from the series).
High Stakes and Porsche Unleashed are some of my favourite ones

Question how is nfs payback a forgotten game when it just came out a few years ago and people still play it
It's not forgotten, hundreds of people still play it, myself included
Because those hypocrite wanted a story, they had it. Now, they complain about its gameplay and want to forget about it.
@@byonemesis Hypocrites indeed, all the people who say Payback sucks keep forgetting that they were the idiots who first nagged Ghost for a storyline
@@dalelumina3 Exactly my point. I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that.
ByoNemesis The story we wanted is like Most Wanted and Carbon. Dealing with the bastard who set you up and finally get what they deserved. In Most Wanted, you got set up by some punk who envy of you and one of the cop wants you taken down for what you're doing and Carbon, the guy you trust framed you and do the same just for money. Make the other thing you're thief and you have to come back to make it right. This thing motivated me to play the game.
I played Payback too. I enjoy it but I concern about story. Why Lina set up the wohle gang? The house want that car for what? and Marcus use Tyler just to get his car back? There're gotta more than that. You do the payback but not feel the PAYBACK. It could been better If Lina should let Tyler enters the house and blow it up. Now it can motivated you to seek payback like "Now that cost my friend! Son of a bitch!" or feel like it went too far.
Most Wanted feels like you're wanted by the cops and you have to fight them off to get what you belong. While Payback doesn't make you feel like this is for what you did to me. It just... does not feel it.
I never forgot nfs hp because of the sweet memories and the music it played
I remember all of these, and played every one in the video except the ones past Shift 2 and the super deformed one that was (i think) the nintendo exclusive.
Lots of nostalgia over Road & Track Presents The Need For Speed.
Thank you for your video, but not all the games are fogotten, for example NFS Undergound Rivals and On The City, is popular between the console gamers, who have PSP. Same situation with NFS Nitro on DS or Wii. NFS Shift and Shift 2, popular between those who like racing simulators. If we are talking about those first Need for Speeds like Porsche Unleashed or HighI general Stakes, they could be called forgotten.
