- Vancouver Int'l airport has been receiving multiple Air New Zealand Boeing 777-300(ER) lately due to their German Repatriation from New Zealand to Germany with a fuel stop at YVR. And it has been a big pleasure to receive their 77W Black Beauty aircraft! Hope you enjoy the video!!! Cheers and stay safe.

Those Air New Zealand liveries are beautiful.

Hey Trap, loved that initial shot on day 2 of the All Black liveried 777 suddenly appearing through a turn from the clouds. Plus back to back but reversed juxtaposition-ed shots of the tails and fern decoration. Great job as usual but a couple of memorable shots.

One thing that comforts me flying internationally with Air NZ is the pilots. They are usually all grey haired and in there late 40s and early 50s meaning they have the flying hours and experience.
This is mainly on international flights but the first officer is usually in their early 30s. Either way they are always nice
Some of them, in their spare time, fly at air shows in aircraft like Yak-52s, Nanchangs and Harvards.

Thank you for posting this. We adore our national carrier, and so sad how it like so many airlines has been impacted at this time. Makes us so proud and happy to see this footage, and know they are helping get people home to Germany, and bringing Kiwis home too.

A lot. Most International flights have been cancelled and also some domestic

Air New Zealand is so good that they are making 1/2 their staff redundant and got nearly 1 Billion tax payer $ just so they can fly a truncated domestic route a couple of times a week

How dumb can you get??? Ever fly in an aircraft that was black in the daylight? They bake on the ground and in the air. I flew for New York Air years ago and when Continental bought us out our aircraft went from Dark Red to mostly white with stripes. The temperature difference was phenomenal, dark aircraft are terrible for anything other than the arctic!

Great to watch, thanks for posting! When this current nonsense is all over and the direct air nz flight to NYC is canned before it even starts would be great to see Air NZ reintroduce LHR but via Vancouver instead of godawful LAX.

The Koru on the tail our our ANZ aircraft is a very sacred symbol for us Kiwis.... I never take it lightly.., ain’t superstitious at all.., until I see it.. anywhere in the world..., & then I just know that I am complete and ok and with our might Pacific🌹

I was on the 777 All Black arriving from Christchurch that day. Seat 25a. Was a beautiful day in Vancouver. A long flight but a good one, thanks to very capable and friendly crew.

@@ONLYUSEmePENUS that's because it was a half full cargo flight. The air newzealand landings were near full passenger flights with max cargo. It's not really fair to compare them. The fact was the air newzealand planes buttered both of their landings and the second landing was one of the smoothest I've ever seen

It was from one of YVRs bird chase cars. They use the siren to scare the birds off the field.

Outstanding collection Trapper. Loved the way you opened the 2nd half of the show with the All Blacks triple 7 emerging from the clouds. Nice artistic touch.
