"I lived for you, remember how you grew into me and i grew into you. You were my favourite sweater, i never checked you fit, just just wore you every single day." Such power in those lines, we have all done this before! Beautifully worded, to something we can all relate to 🙂
A beautiful lie is still a lie. Don't stay in the closet for me suffering needlessly for whom you really are. Dry your tears spread your wings, I'll be ok.
I understand that Dia is apart of the trans community. That being said please do not take offence to what I am about to say/ask. In this video is Dia talking about themselves? (I think that would be the correct grammar) Or is Dia (I am just going to use their name in an effort not to offend/ confuse anyone) talking about another person?
monsterouszombiecatz don't tell me which genders are right and wrong. When some one says "who are they?" Are they speaking about multiple people or just one? It could be either.
monsterouszombiecatz Singular they is the use of they, or its inflected or derivative forms, such as them, their, or themselves, to refer to a single person or an antecedent that is grammatically singular. It typically occurs with an antecedent of indeterminate gender. so yeah you can use they. for example " somebody left their backpack in the classroom" or
This is so good... But what's with all the arguments about genders? I get that Dia may chose not to identify, but can we not be quite so aggressive about corrections here?
izabelle woods You are so right. Correct gender pronouns are extremely important. I have gotten in the habit of using 'they/them' for strangers until I know what gender pronoun they prefer because it feels less offensive than accidentally calling an FtM 'she' or vice versa. A lot of people just don't understand it and its easier for them to stick with what they know, but doing that helps to create this divide between those who are trans and those who aren't.
I still see the female in them, looking at them as a "butch lesbian" I really need help Because ive questioned and now suppressing my gender cause I just want to be normal I hate that I'm being mean to them
“Normal” is so overrated. Don’t hurt yourself. Whether it’s physically mentally or emotionally. Please don’t hurt yourself. Don’t listen to the “normal” people listen to your heart. Be who you are meant to be. No I myself am not transgender or fluid. I am a cisgender female but I can relate on a different level. I am queer and I can’t come out. I use the term queer bc as of now idk what I am but I’m in the closet and can’t come out because my family is super homophobic. Just be you I hope the best for you. And know that I love you fam 🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈
"you were my favorite sweater, I never checked to see if you fit"

idc if they're they/she/he, they're very attractive and write amazing poetry.
Thank you... this helped me come out to my husband of 16 years... I watch it nearly everyday...
It’s so great to watch this after watching Dia’s “Badmitten.” The love is still there, but they seem so much happier now :)

I'm not sure who exactly the poem is about, but Dia uses the pronouns they/their/them, so themselves would be correct.
That's what THEY'RE talking about.
Elsa Green One of my best friends is genderfluid, and this is the only thing that bothers me about it.
She mentioned wedding cards being sent out so I assume someone else along with themselves but I honestly cant be sure
Rachael Hensel theyre talking about an ex. An ex from when they were still in the closet.
Wait where did she go in the end. I thought she bent down to pick something up but she never reappeared. Did she stage dive?
Dia goes by they/them
so amazing
When did I start crying?
Hey people in the comments! How about using the pronouns they/them instead of assuming you know this persons gender?

jasmine simpson If you're not suuuuuuure... ASK.
Shaman In-Training Dia happens to use they/their/them pronouns. So even if we were to ask them, we would end up using they/their/them, not he or she.
I really want to watch but it won't load sorry
god damn it
