Learn something new every day, I've seen the 5.7 diesel in a 1/2 ton. I did not realize they put the 6.2 in a half ton. Plenty of torque & power, that's funny. Pretty cool truck.
Love it. Just imagine, a set of Alcoa's, set of big twin stacks behind the cab, air horns and roof running lights... or just enjoy driving it every day.
It needs new glowplugs , because It starts so show.. Back in '88 i bought a '82 6.2 l diesel from Florida and shipped It to Helsinki, Finland . That winter was cold as hell, minus 25 f.. Still after new set of glowplugs i heated those plugs twice, alltogether for about 30- 40 seconds, and It started right up !! Great truck, wish i still had It...😢
Gutless wonder but they got amazing fuel mileage back in the day. better than the modern versions do now. Light duty half ton with that 6.2? Heard of 22-26MPG back in the day.
