i was able to score a used signature collection woody from facebook marketplace for only a few dollars. it was in pretty decent condition except for a chip on the head sculpt and one of the hands was chewed up by a dog. i was able to repurpose a hand from a broken woody (voice box stopped working and neck peg had snapped) to make the signature that much cleaner because of this video. thank you.
You make it look so easy. I gave up then tightened the zip tie half way though the fabric without getting it in the other half. I felt the stitching was loosening the more i tryed to get though the other half and didn't wanna ruin woody lol. It looks ok i think but not to condifent about it but glad i did it
Modding toys is hard, it took me 2 years of practice to get to this point to be honest. I’m glad you were able to do it. If you just move slowly don’t rush you should be ok. Editing magic.. in reality it took me a way longer time to do this on camera but it’s edited for RUclips.
If you guys are wondering, yes, it is true that the Brazilian woody doll was only sold in 11 toys r us stores, other famous stores in Brazil that sell toy story toys didn't have the toy story collection line, but the 2nd to best toys, in Mexico they rarely have the brazil looking ones, when the white logo came that's when they started selling the white logo toys, the brazil woody was only sold in 11 stores, I did my research:)

well the good news is...after you apply it and it really fully dries...the purple tint goes away and looks black!!!so after I let it dry over night it looks even better now.

I'm so jealous that you got this Woody. I'm kinda toy story crazy rn and just want to get movie accurate dolls, but I'm scarred that this "obsession" will only last for a short time and that I regret spending money on toys in a few months :(
I’d also use the 1995 hands instead of the Disney Store hands if I were to make a movie accurate Woody because on Disney Store Woody’s hands, I think the wrists are a bit too fat. I think 1995 Woody’s hands have slimmer wrists which not only look better, but are more movie accurate. But that’s just what I’d do.
Not everyone has access to a 1995 Woody so the Disney store is a great alternative. I ended up using 1995 hands for my latest Woody mod. 1995 is slightly better.

Yes this is my second movie accurate Woody except this time I am doing all the mods. I do have a friend who is helping me with the 3D custom printed head but that is it.
This video is Great! It also may help me on swapping the hands since i was never able to do it correctly Btw the woody you used for the hands is not a 95. It’s a 99 Toy story 2 version with the spurs,I can tell because the buttons for the 99 woodys always get scratches on the middle of the buttons. Still was very helpful!
You should get the 1999 interactive buddies woody and buzz, the eyes blink and it uses a simmaler sculpt the 1995 originals, so it might be good for live actions with the 1995 woody.
Now all you need to complete your 100% Movie Accurate Woody doll is the Voice Box (Movie Accurate) The head (Movie Accurate) and the Sheriff Badge (Movie Accurate)
I just done the 1st hand. It wasnt easy but my scissors were quite crap and was being rushed by others to do it. Think its looks ok but a bit self conscious about it

I wish I could but that would require cutting and sewing and I’m not good at that plus the risk of ruining this one is too high stress since this is the rarest thinkway toy story collection Woody ever made. If there was a safe way to do it I would but I wouldn’t know how to start. I still appreciate the comment thanks for the suggestion.
@@todayigrewup don't worry I totally understand your reasons to not doing the arm mod yourself, because like you said that's the rarest Toy story collection Woody doll ever made, and it would hurt my soul if it got ruined considering how much work you put into it, maybe you can look into finding someone like a professional that can do the arm mod for you? that could be another suggestion, and even if you don't feel comfortable doing that I still think it starting to look very accurate to his movie self either way, so if I was you I would just do what I'm comfortable with.

It’s fact though...if you watch the ending of Toy Story 3 Bonnie makes Woody wave goodbye to Andy and he is in “toy mode” Woody has open hands. I am chasing the movie prop “toy mode” Woody just like Andy had him in the movie when he entered a room. Interesting on the open hands breaking. I’m a collector for display mainly so it’s not an issue for me.
This collection woody is a cloud pattern and it is from 2009 it’s super rare. They only sold it for a very small run and amount of time. Sometimes I feel it was a prototype version that they sold then stopped quickly.
I have a wave 1 1995 doll with wires but I can’t use his hands because he is too rare and expensive so I bought another old woody just to use the movie accurate hands.
It shouldn’t, even if it did fade I’m sure it will still look better than what it was before. Now that the sharpie has dried it actually looks better more like a true black.

I believe the ‘95 one is a rare room guard version based on the belt buckle. I actually have one in box without knowing it was rare until recently.

The one you got is the 1997 Woody Talkin' Room Deputy guard doll because it has two holes on woody's belt buckle unlike the 95 figure

Why don't you get the medicom ultimate woody hat? First of all, it has movie accurate color, and already has plastic threading. Just recommending it!
