I would not have know who the Donner Family was if it wasn't for watching your video months ago. So today Saturday I'm going to go back and watch them to refresh my memory. I absolutely loved this video! Not only do you try to find truth in the mistakes and lies people do to make themselves look good in historical facts but, to make others not hear the real truth is a travesty to me. I am finding out as I go on in life there is no way to believe so many any more on FACTS! Thank you for sharing and checking things out first! I love it!

Archeologists generally leave some parts of sites not excavated so future archeologists with better technologies have a chance to improve on their work. They learned that lesson the hard way a few times because of some overzealous archeologists around the turn of the 19th century basically bulldozing really important sites lol.

I am not a metal detector show I talk about and show about historical places. My feeling is if they don’t like my show then don’t subscribe and don’t watch it and don’t put a thumbs down on it. The conestogas were so heavy they would kill the oxen on such a arduous trail. Great video! I'm actually related by my aunt's marriage to descendants of the Graves family. I've been fascinated with the Donner Party most of my life. Patty Reed's doll is actually on display at Sutters Fort in Sacramento. Went to the memorial multiple times having grown up not far from there. We relocated to the Midwest six years ago and got to drive HWY 80 all the way into Iowa. Passing through Utah and eventually Ft Bridger in Wyoming by car made me shiver at the thought people once made this trip by wagon. Fun channel! I love history very much myself. My wife, children and myself made a trip to the James Farm in Kearney, Missouri last year and it was AMAZING. Jesse's grave is there and Liberty, Missouri which was the site of his first bank robbery is nearby. We also went to St. Joseph, Missouri which not only the place Jesse James was shot, but the headquarters of the Pony Express, Civil War battles and the home of many other historical figures. I highly recommend if you haven't already been.

In California it was Manditory to do California History in the 4th Grade. Even tho wr Homeschooled we still did this. We did a packet in Literature were I saw my middle son fall in love with Reading. There is an Excellent Book called Patty Reids Doll. & since I was a hands on school mom we went to Sacramento to the SuttersMuseum where the real Patty Reids Doll is on Display. I was shocked cus it's less than 3 inches tall ❤ we went to Sutter's Mill where the California Gold Rush Began. We panned for Gold . We went up the Grade where the Donner Party Camped during their Ordeal. Also wrnt to Donner Lake. It was a Precious Memory that is Tucked away in Heart ❤ I Loved those Days with my Family.
