I’m not homophobic and I think it’s great that there is a month to celebrate and include lgbtq people, but it always bothers me how much traction pride month and black history month get over disability pride month. As a disabled person, it’s frustrating to see so much inclusivity for other minorities over my own, especially considering the percentage of disabled people in the US is way higher than the percentage of lgbtq people. I wish brands would change logos, websites, release new lines, anything. Before I became disabled, I was aware that black history and pride months existed as they got so much traction, but I didn’t know disability pride month existed. Let’s work together to fix this please.
