- This video shows what’s inside a mini submersible water pump. I bought this pump from amazon for 250 rupees. It operates at 3 to 6v DC. Power consumption: 0.4W to 1.5W. It can pump 80 - 120L/hr and maximum lift 1.1meter vertical. Thank you for watching!

I'd like to thank you, I was going to buy one of these to replace a pump in a toy i bought, ironically, it was the same style built in centrifugal pump and it went rusty (because oddly enough electrical motors aren't meant to get wet) and the seals aren't good on them, so you have saved me money my friend.
Thanks for opening. Have found these pumps break after a few usages because the water leaks into and destroys the motor. Thought this version might be different but thanks to this video I know not to buy these ones either.
What other pump do you recommend to buy?

I teardown it, there is water inside... But the motor isn't rusted! It works!
Waste of money.it got rust with in a week even in mineral water.
Water got filled in motor side. Is this normal? How long motor will last?

They don't last, they rust, and these are a brushed motor. 20 bought, 20 ruined.

what kind of motor is this.. means Name of motor?.. Dont say Submersible Pump.

How did the water get inside? From the cable hole?
At the very start of the video, you can see the end of the pump where the rotor is housed. There's a hole on the end of the casing, which allows water into the central area of the rotor.

how to fix my mini water pump problem(i using this for my water cycle project) . i connected this pump with a battery through switch. First time when i on the switch it works finely. then i off thw switch and again when it on then the pump is not working. I try to operate it after two days it again start working then again i of the switch and then on it its not working. Pls tell me reason and a solution.

good question. i think , same is the case in a Mixie also:
becoz a valv on the saft of every motor ..this work on the off condition..but when motor run water flow from outside so no water comes throught..saft
@@amrishkumar318 becoz THERE IS a -valv- VALVE on the -saft- SHAFT .. ..this workS IN 'on & off' condition..runS water flow comes throught ?? THROUGH..saft SHAFT
@@webmaceat the motor shaft, you couldn't see the sealing compound? This seal fails after sometime and water enters motor and destroys it. This is why it's failed pump

friends this motor had a black thing on its tip . You know what that's called? please
It is the rubber WASHER acting as a water seal which in my opinion will not stop water slowly going into the motor causing more & more rusting & eventually destroying it. A better design water-proved seal has 2 water washer seals with grease in between them. One way to improve its longevity I think is to design an opening to to manually dry up the water periodically .
