Not gonna lie, that game you played against Austria was my first ever international game i watched live in the stadium.
Im from Austria and i can well remember this game. It ended in a 2:2 draw because James made a horrible mistake.
Wow that is a very insightful story, thanks for sharing it & to be honest, England's goalkeepers in the past were terrible ever since David Seaman retired. Probably one of the reasons why they didn't live up to the expectations back in the 2000s. It definitely showed in Euro 2008 as poor keeping as well as a clueless manager were the main reasons why England didn't qualify for the tournament

2006, the last great fifa, I have so many memories of countless hours spent playing this game. Global challenge mode, qualifying, all the teams, even the little guys like San Marino. Also the sountrack was amazing. I wish fifa would make a game half as good as this one again.

If this game was available for the 2018 World Cup or more recent tournaments, with all the teams and the detail with things like the qualifiers, I'd absolutely love it
Rachel Wood ikr. It’s a sad thing when you get excited about teams like Serbia and Japan being in World Cup mode because their national teams aren’t in the base game
Rachel Wood the idea of EA adding anything of genuine value to the game in the summer unfortunately seems like an impossibility. It’s just a shame especially since they did it in the past and have had their games actually regress rather than progress.

The EA passport feature was amazing. Different colored stamps for different difficulties, had me grinding this game even more. Was hoping it gets added to WC 2010 and 2014 but never was unfortunately..

I used to have this on the Game Boy Advance handheld games console mate! The graphics on it was presumably a throwback to FIFA International Soccer, the first ever FIFA game, from 1993. Consequently, I say that the PS2 version, which I myself also have at home, is much better than the GBA version.

wish they put a lot of effort in a world cup fifa, perhaps as a stand-alone game. all the countries, all licensed official kits and the retro ones, full qualifiers etc. the free update for 18 was a great addition, but has just the finals.
