(first off I want to say I may be completely wrong but) I'm pretty sure the audio is officially from the official creator of the summer Hikaru died (or at least the person who made it was hired by the creator) so that's why it's so accurate!
I'm so glad they captured the ambience of summer with all those cicada noises in the background. It was one of the things i loved about the art of the manga. I also loved the way they did his voice change and the way they animated the dripping of his eye.
I never thought about why it’s specifically the summer that Hikaru died when the story takes place during the school year but everything about this in the best way possible just feels like summer. The way the light works, the playfulness in the voices, the cicadas especially are a nice touch, extra so when they suddenly just. Go quiet. Even the horror and grief feels like summer. The grief feels sluggish and weighed down the way muggy weather makes you, and the fear of Hikaru isn’t a jump scare fear, it’s the slow realization of the sweet smell of sticky rot. Great job.
ohh this is so incredible from the voice acting to the animation,, if this manga ever gets an anime adaptation i hope you get to be on the board of animators!!!!
i'm so happy that they will finally have an anime adaptation, i really have high expectations for it especially for the animation since the manga is a beautiful masterpiece and the work you did is so amazing! everything is perfect :)

I guess we can all agree we need more of this. I began reading the manga and there a really cool scenes there. These voiced fit perfectly. And the sounds are great too, love the details in the animation. What a dramatic story!

I’m so shocked that I’m only finding this today! I wish I discovered this animation months ago when you first uploaded it, but this is just so incredible. You’ve truly brought this entire iconic scene to vivid life, and I adore everything from the body language of the two boys at the start to the terrible melting of Hikaru’s face and the way Yoshiki pants and darts his eyes around in terror at the end. Its exactly what I imagined their voices to be like, its so accurate to my imagination its scary.. (i kind of imagined Hikaru'svoice to be a bit higher pitched, but this is waaaaay better)
