NES Tetris - 3.2 MILLION ON THE KILLSCREEN (Recorded WR)

- some portions were muted because of copyright. at the end i say "now THAT'S a 29 pb im proud of"
major skip from 490 lines and 1.6 to this. honestly i played for about 1 hour with the goal to get a new pb and i somehow crushed that which is a really really good feeling. lately when ive started to go for a score i get it quickly which is a pretty good sign. nerves are not a factor if you are confident in your movement i guess which is insane because i would call myself a choker and a nervous wreck when it comes to this stuff.
ALSO the reason I said I did the Cheez fish was because I got a 29 max two games before this which is what Cheez claimed he did before so I thought it was funny that I actually did it

Myles, bro, that dig at around the 12 to 13 minute mark was absolute sorcery! 🤯
I seriously think you could be the first person to reach colors starting on 29 if you keep this pace up!
Congrats again man! ✌️
Sick world record, dude. You truly are one of the best in the world
What a dig on level 63
Myles, this score is truly one of if not your greatest accomplishment to this day. In the 3 years I've watched you, you've grown so much. From scoring 856,680 after 8 months with DAS to your 998k to your first maxout with your iconic blanket on, to your first 10 lines on 29 with tapping, to your "1.2" and "244 lines" with "DAS", to your tap 1.2, to your first 14 lines with rolling, to your dual rolling 1.1 vs. Jounce (Mistake? Title says HydrantDude, but the video clearly says Jounce with his layout.), to your first overall pb with rolling, you've shown quick mastery in all three playstyles.
I can very vividly recall your first outbreak after CTWC 2021, defeating Tristop to make 19th place and scoring your first 1.3 million points. Next, 400,000 and 150 lines on 29, followed by level 40 and a huge jump to 1.486 on level 18. It was your first time being #3 in the world, and yet a year later, you are still just as high, but this time in multiple categories. And even in some, the recorded world record holder. Not only that, but you are the only player to hold a top 10 performance in every single major category. (NTSC 0 -19, NTSC 19, NTSC 29, NTSC 29 LINES, NTSC Level, NTSC Maxout Lines, NTSC Rollover Lines, and NTSC Maxout Lines.) It has been a joy watching you all this time, but as an avid Myles fan myself, has also been tough. You've had your ups and downs, but one thing about you has never changed; You always run back yo fade. (Sorry, my brother typed that.) What I meant to say was that following your deepest tragedies, you always seem to get back up, stronger than ever. You display not only great amounts of skill in these achievements, but also prove that you're a courageous and hard-working individual. You aren't afraid to get worse, and use your flops as motivation to get better. Nobody sees the hours you put in behind the camera, and I think it is a seriously underrated skill of yours. People like to claim that they don't care about the game or that they barely play, but you embrace your dedication to this game, and work towards becoming a consistent player.
Maybe this is the true start of the Myles era. No more sporadic drops, or tournament chokes. Maybe this is the legacy-defining game that propels you into superstardom. Or maybe, just maybe, this will stay a yearly occurrence that fades away in a few months (El Niño type beat). But, it is up to you to decide. Will you let the haters win, and succumb to your lack of self-confidence? Will you once again fall behind your peers? Or will you seize the opportunity, and cement yourself as a generational talent? Nothing is stopping you, Myles. The time is now. You are in your prime, with all the time and resources you need to succeed. If you feel that you are struggling, never forget the people you have around to help you. However, the last stretch is in your hands. In clutch moments, will your hard work and dedication drag you to the finish line? Is it enough that you've practiced more than anyone, and have better scores than them all? No. It is dependent on one factor alone. The killer mentality. Do you have the drive to become great? Do you have the hunger needed to become extraordinary? When push comes to shove, do you have that dawg in you? Can you close it out, when it matters more than ever? Who knows, besides you. You'll know. If you aren't sure, then you don't have it. But, if you truly believe in yourself, then eternal success will be granted to you. (And I'm not talking about Tetris) (I am mainly)
Side note, I think what held you back was actually your headphones. The dents on the sides of your head damaged your vision, and the tight squeezing of the headband on your brain blocked the connection between your brain waves and nervous system. I think taking them off really loosened the cerebral hemispheres and allowed you to make decisions more freely, with no physical or mental restrictions.
I don't know where I was going with this message, but I just wanted to say that I am immensely proud of you as a person and a player. To you, I am a viewer, but to me, you are a friend, mentor, source of joy, a light in times of darkness, and my oh so glorious king. You take weight off my shoulders when I am feeling down, and enhance even the greatest of my days. My life is incomplete without you, Myles James "The Great" Miller IV.
And on a final note, consider these words for the rest of your time on this Earth:
You should enjoy the little detours to the fullest. Because that's where you'll find the things more important than what you want.
Merry Christmas! I hope you enjoyed the gifts. I'm sorry I couldn't do more, and also that it came late.. I originally planned a lot of ideas, but I got caught up in doing things and I wasn't sure if a lot of the gifts could happen. I also wasn't sure if your parents would have been ok with some of the gifts, so I avoided that as well. Also because I share an amazon account with my family so they would have seen what I was ordering. Also shipping was bad so I had to stick to one website lol. In the end, I just went with my gut feeling. They were simple gifts, and maybe seem as if they didn't have much thought, but I hope you receive the sentiment I put into selecting those three items. I'm glad you enjoyed it, though! I can’t believe you didn’t guess me. I even asked your favorite episodes, but I tried to make it as least sketchy as possible LMAO. Ended up picking Gon vs Morel and then the final volume to include all of the wrap ups in Chimera since you said you enjoyed the resolutions. Was between that or a big fight, but I decided to go with multiple small scenes over one big one. Even if we come apart in the future, or if I die a tragic death, I hope that serves as a relic to remember me. But come this time next year, maybe I can help fill out the rest of your wishlist. I will get you your mens shirt (large)! Or maybe even a jacket. And I will for sure give you gifts that are more well thought-out, and cost more than just money. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Ōmisoka, Happy Kwanzaa, and Happy New Years! Cheers to another year of prosperity and good fortune.
From your old pal,
John Smith

This is insane! You've cracked level 29 now and I wouldn't be surprised if you can grab the overall score WR at this rate. Your rate of improvement recently is scary, congrats!

Best parts of any of your runs are still the digs no matter what score
bro what
why does it seem like he's avoiding tetrises on the earlier levels? or is building up and fishing for tetrises actually a noob play?
Autism is a hell of a drug.
Is there an unrecorded higher score than this?
yes there are two. one of them has partial video but not full
@@MylesTheGreat wild. Who, and what scores?
@@goflowjoe here is the leaderboard: go.ctm.gg/leaderboards
Alex t and gerald freeman have higher scores than me on 29 score
@@MylesTheGreat Thanks. I just checked it out. With all the score rollovers necessary for a 5.2M score (Alex's), what was his proof? His score could have been 2M, 3.6M, or 5.2M. Or, was it just so many lines that it's impossible it was less than 5M? Congrats on your WR, btw.
@@goflowjoe that’s a great question actually. So almost all top players use a Tetris rom called Tetris Gym and it actually gives u the total final score on the leaderboard. So his score just straight up read 5.1 million which is why he has screenshot proof
