Thank you for a lovely idea. I'm just making Christmas decorations and found your video clip. I made my poinsettias in different colors and sizes using your handy technique. Instead of store bought ribbons, I cut strips from leftover fabrics and even from old curtains that don't fray easily. Very beautiful and economic too.

I’ve been going crazy making these! I love them and they are fun to do. I started mixing up the end “points” by making some triangular and others like a traditional flower. Haven’t put the funky ends together yet but I’m almost finished cutting my ribbons so I’ll see if I love them or not in a few days ♥️♥️

I love these! Now I can forget buying all those poinsettias and make my own, matching, my projects, fabulous!!! I used little fabric clips for the holding part, they will work just great for this. I am also going to add another layer to the center with 4" to make it even more full. Thank you so much.

@@willeyfarmsTownsend I also discovered my Bowdabra works perfectly to hold these, easy peasy! I have difficulty holding things in my hand, partly because of an accident from several years ago, but also because I am a natural klutz =) The Bowdabra is a truly great resource for this kind of thing.

ritatru5 I am also one for traditional colors and the gray was different. I did try it in gray and ended up putting red on top of it to give it a three D look after all that work I wasn't throwing out. Actually a friend came in and loved it. The Flower now has a new home. I don't know why gray was used for demonstration. maybe they wanted to get rid of the ribbon. I do have a lot of friends that I guess are more modern and loved it. At 70 I have learned you can't please everyone one. So I please me. Good luck crafting
