I’m starting to think it’s been recently been patched, I’ve done it loads of times and now that I’m trying to do it again I can’t get it to work. Haven’t even picked up a map in a while either.
This works flawlessly. I don't know if it matters, but I had another treasure map active while I did all this, and whenever I spawned in, I would kill an animal with a bow before I went to the treasure map. I also brushed my horse too like you said. In other words, this glitch is great and has little to no setup.
Hmm idk what the issue is for me, i tried it several times and when i was about to give up it worked? Tried 4 times before i got one, no dynamic events, and i was in solo lobby PS4.
Mine stopped spawning after 9x. I also check the other areas for this kind of glitch still no spawn 😅. I'm way pass that cooldown thing. - PC - Solo Lobby (RDO Lobby Manager)
Sometimes it's the server out the lobby you need to close out the game and try again also make sure and check the area for any activity like the bounty our run away wagon that sit there by the tree if it spawn you will see it

Idk what i did wrong but it stopped working completely. Waited 72 hours, in a solo lobby, doesnt spawn anymore no dynamic event happening 😢

Its all goods now, found an npc with a map. 😅
After getting the map from that npc everything starts spawning again.

Yes you get a 3 day ban next time the second you get the map close the game and syart it again
