Autorotation in an R44 at KLDJ

One of dozens of Autorotations performed with pilot Leonardo while conducting aerial photo missions with Big City Aerials. Most every flight for a period of one year Leo performed practice autorotations as we flew back into KLDJ for fuel or to end the day.

It works! As a passenger while shooting aerial photography my pilot experienced a complete engine failure at 500 feet and he was able to an autorotation with no damage to the aircraft. He saved my life performing this maneuver. Believe it!
