  • Have you ever found yourself frustrated by the slow process of emptying a bottle? Alex Dainis has taken on the challenge to determine the fastest way to empty a soda bottle.
    She experiments with different methods: inverting the bottle, swirling its contents, using a straw, and even cutting a hole in the bottom.
    But what's the science behind it all? Alex breaks down the mechanics, unveils the secrets of air flow, and discovers the method is the quickest.

    Swirl is by far the best option, fast, easy, doesn't damage the bottle, and doesn't need extra tools, absolutely no down sides

    I always just... At an angle. Air goes in through the top half of the hole and the water flows out the bottom

      It's actually the slowest method of all, because you don't use the whole opening to its maximum capacity. Iirc

    I always swirl bottles that I need to empty.. it's not hard at all. Just make a single hard swirl and voila: vortex

    I repetitively squeeze the bottle, ejecting large quantities of fluid between bottle-mouth-air-gulps, as I would can them, if we don't have a fancy scientific name for that action.

    If I had to guess I think a hole in the bottom of the bottle that is the same diameter or larger than the opening that the water is coming out of would facilitate the quickest flow of water. Fun stuff. I love your content so far!❤❤

    turn the bottle upside down while not letting water to flow out and give it a good shake(up and down), then let the water flow. by far the fastest from what I tested

      You didn't even successfully create a vortex. Maybe don't push out content if you can't do said task. Lazy RUclips content tbh

    What about a bottle with two sided opening with a cap/lid on both sides?

  • @Bone220
    @Bone220 Год назад +2

    That's why you just angle the bottle, don't put it upside down at all.
    You need to keep the air gap.

    squeezing is the correct answer

    • @joeslinky
      @joeslinky 8 месяцев назад

      Actually the correct answer is the straw, but blowing in the other end. So you push all the water out with your lungs

    • @Leland-y1d
      @Leland-y1d 8 месяцев назад

      @@joeslinky Nope. It is scientific fact that a squeezed bottle will expel its contents faster than a bottle with a straw. If you dont believe me then I will laugh at your ketchup bottle with a straw in it.
