Former Chairman Doug Ellis has got to take a lot of the blame for Villas current predicament. He treated past managers like shit. Never invested any real money and Villa never produced many good English grown players with the exception of Lee Hendrie, Gareth Barry, Darius Vassell and Ashley Young!

Also Doug Ellis was a great owner in principle.
Kept the club on a good financial footing was pretty decent picking managers with the exception of DavidO'Leary.
We never once ended up in this mess when Doug had his two previous spell with us.
